마지막 일곱 재앙(災殃)

셋째 재앙은 강과 물이 오염됩니다.

셋째 호리병: 강과 물이 피가 됩니다.  거룩하고 결백한 성도들의 피를 흘렸기 때문에 오는 심판입니다.

계시록 9장 14-16절에 의하면 2억의 군사들이 모이는데 역사적으로 유프라테스 강은 동쪽과 서쪽의 장벽이 있었으며 군사들이 꿰뚫을 수 없었습니다. 하지만 터키 정부에서 웅장한 "아타툴크 / Ataturk" 댐을 포함하여 다섯 개의 댐을 건축하므로 이와 같은 일이 가능해 진 것입니다. 또한 중국 정부에서 거액의 돈을 소비해가며 아시아와 교차된 곧장 이스라엘로 통하는 최고 군사 도로를 건설하고 있습니다. 이 도로의 포장은 고대 대상들의 통로였던 실크 로드(Silk Road)를 재현시킬 것이라고 합니다. 중국에서 남쪽으로부터 티베트, 아프가니스탄을 거쳐 파키스탄까지 도로를 벌써 완수하였습니다. 개구리 같은 세 더러운 영은 타락한 악 천사들인데 이들의 도움을 받아 세계 통치자들을 아마겟돈에 집결할 것이라고 합니다.

아마겟돈은 므깃도의 언덕을 의미하며, 위치는 55마일 예루살렘 북쪽입니다.

사사기 5장 19절, "열왕이 와서 싸울 때에 가나안 열왕이 므깃도 물가 다아낙에서 싸웠으나 돈을 탈취하지 못하였도다".

이곳은 역사적으로 이스라엘의 운명을 좌우하는 희비극이 계속하여 일어났던 곳입니다. 발락이 가나안 군사를 맞아 대파했던 곳이 바로 이곳이며(사사기 4:15), 기드온의 수백 군사가 미디안 군대를 무찔러 대파했던 곳이 이곳 이었습니다 (사사기 7장). 사울이 블레셋인들과의 전쟁에서 무참히 참패하여 죽임을 당하는 비극을 맺었던 곳도 이 아마겟돈에서였고 유다와 요시야 왕이 죽임을 당한 곳도 이곳 이었습니다 (열왕기하 23:29-30절). 그 주위에 있는 낮은 산악지대는 지상의 어떤 다른 곳보다도 피 흘림이 많았던 곳이었으며, 최종적인 전쟁터가 될 것입니다.
