1  This⁵⁰²⁶ second¹²⁰⁸ epistle,¹⁹⁹² beloved,²⁷ I now²²³⁵ write¹¹²⁵ unto you;⁵²¹³ in¹⁷²² both which³⁷³⁹ I stir up¹³²⁶ your⁵²¹⁶ pure¹⁵⁰⁶ minds¹²⁷¹ by way of¹⁷²² remembrance:⁵²⁸⁰

1  사랑하는 자들아 내가 이제 이 둘째 편지를 너희에게 쓰노니 이 둘로 너희 진실한 마음을 일깨워 생각하게 하여

1  Beloved, I now write this second letter to you, in which I stir up your pure mind by reminder

1   사랑하는 자들아, 이제 내가 이 두 번째 편지를 너희에게 쓰는 것은 이 편지들로 말미암아 너희로 기억나게 하여 너희의 순수한 생각을 일깨워 주려 함이니

2  That ye may be mindful³⁴¹⁵ of the³⁵⁸⁸ words⁴⁴⁸⁷ which were spoken before⁴²⁸⁰ by⁵²⁵⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ holy⁴⁰ prophets,⁴³⁹⁶ and²⁵³² of the³⁵⁸⁸ commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ of us²²⁵⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ apostles⁶⁵² of the³⁵⁸⁸ Lord²⁹⁶² and²⁵³² Savior:⁴⁹⁹⁰

2  곧 거룩한 선지자의 예언한 말씀과 주G2962 되신 구주께서 너희의 사도들로 말미암아 명하신 것을 기억하게 하려 하노라

2  to remember the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of the Lord and Savior by us, the apostles.

2  그리하여 거룩한 선지자들이 미리 전한 말씀과 주(아도나이H136)와 구주의 사도들인 우리에게 주신 계명을 생각나게 하려는 것이라.

3  Knowing¹⁰⁹⁷ this⁵¹²⁴ first,⁴⁴¹² that³⁷⁵⁴ there shall come²⁰⁶⁴ in¹⁹⁰⁹ the last²⁰⁷⁸ days²²⁵⁰ scoffers,¹⁷⁰³ walking⁴¹⁹⁸ after²⁵⁹⁶ their⁸⁴⁸ own²³⁹⁸ lusts,¹⁹³⁹

3  먼저 이것을 알찌니 말세에 기롱하는 자들이G1703  와서 자기의 정욕을 좇아 행하며 기롱하여

3  First, knowing this, that there will come in the last days scoffers walking according to their own lusts

3  먼저 알 것은 이것이니 마지막 날들에 조롱하는 자들이 와서 그들의 정욕대로 행하며

4  And²⁵³² saying,³⁰⁰⁴ Where⁴²²⁶ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ promise¹⁸⁶⁰ of his⁸⁴⁶ coming?³⁹⁵² for¹⁰⁶³ since^{575, 3739} the³⁵⁸⁸ fathers³⁹⁶² fell asleep,²⁸³⁷ all things³⁹⁵⁶ continue¹²⁶⁵ as³⁷⁷⁹ they were from⁵⁷⁵ the beginning⁷⁴⁶ of the creation.²⁹³⁷

4  가로되 주(그분)의 강림하신다는 약속이 어디 있느뇨 조상들이 잔 후로부터 만물이 처음 창조할 때와 같이 그냥 있다 하니

4  and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.

4  말하기를 "그가 온다는 약속이 어디 있느냐? 조상들이 잠든 이래로 만물은 창조의 시작부터 그대로 있다." 하니

5  For¹⁰⁶³ this⁵¹²⁴ they⁸⁴⁶ willingly²³⁰⁹ are ignorant of,²⁹⁹⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ by the³⁵⁸⁸ word³⁰⁵⁶ of God²³¹⁶ the heavens³⁷⁷² were²²⁵⁸ of old,¹⁵⁹⁷ and²⁵³² the earth¹⁰⁹³ standing⁴⁹²¹ out of¹⁵³⁷ the water⁵²⁰⁴ and²⁵³² in¹²²³ the water:⁵²⁰⁴

5  이는 하늘이 옛적부터 있는 것과 땅이 물에서 나와 물로 성립한 것도 하나님의G2316 말씀으로 된 것을 저희가 잊으려G2990 함이로다

5  For this is hidden from them by their willing it, that the heavens were of old, and the earth out of the water, and through water, being held together by the Word of God,

5   이는 그들이 이것을 고의로 잊으려 함이라. 즉 하나님(엘로힘)의 말씀에 의해 하늘들이 옛적부터 있었다는 것과, 땅도 물에서 나왔고 물 안에 있었다는 것이니

6  Whereby^{1223, 3739} the³⁵⁸⁸ world²⁸⁸⁹ that then⁵¹¹⁹ was, being overflowed²⁶²⁶ with water,⁵²⁰⁴ perished.⁶²²

6  이로 말미암아 그 때 세상은 물의 넘침으로 멸망하였으되

6  through which the world that then was, being flooded by water, perished.

6    이로써 이전에 있던 세상은 물이 범람해서 멸망하였느니라.

7  But¹¹⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ heavens³⁷⁷² and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ earth,¹⁰⁹³ which are now,³⁵⁶⁸ by the³⁵⁸⁸ same⁸⁴⁶ word³⁰⁵⁶ are¹⁵²⁶ kept in store,²³⁴³ reserved⁵⁰⁸³ unto fire⁴⁴⁴² against¹⁵¹⁹ the day²²⁵⁰ of judgment²⁹²⁰ and²⁵³² perdition⁶⁸⁴ of ungodly⁷⁶⁵ men.⁴⁴⁴

7  이제 하늘과 땅은 그 동일한 말씀으로 불사르기 위하여 간수하신바 되어 경건치 아니한 사람들의 심판과 멸망의G684  날까지 보존하여 두신 것이니라

7  But the present heavens and the earth being kept in store by the same Word, are being kept for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

7  그러나 현재 있는 하늘들과 땅은 그 동일한 말씀으로 보존되어 있으되 경건치 아니한 자들의 심판과 멸망의 날에 불사르려고 간수되어진 것이니라.

8  But,¹¹⁶¹ beloved,²⁷ be not ignorant^{2990, 3361} of this⁵¹²⁴ one thing,¹⁵²⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ one³³⁹¹ day²²⁵⁰ is with³⁸⁴⁴ the Lord²⁹⁶² as⁵⁶¹³ a thousand⁵⁵⁰⁷ years,²⁰⁹⁴ and²⁵³² a thousand⁵⁵⁰⁷ years²⁰⁹⁴ as⁵⁶¹³ one³³⁹¹ day.²²⁵⁰

8  사랑하는 자들아 주께는G2962 하루가 천년 같고 천년이 하루 같은 이 한 가지를 잊지 말라

8  But, beloved, let not this one thing be hidden from you, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

8 사랑하는 자들아, 주(야훼)께는 하루가 천 년 같고 천 년이 하루 같은 이 한 가지를 잊지 말라.

9  The³⁵⁸⁸ Lord²⁹⁶² is not slack^{1019, 3756} concerning his promise,¹⁸⁶⁰ as⁵⁶¹³ some men⁵¹⁰⁰ count²²³³ slackness;¹⁰²² but²³⁵ is longsuffering³¹¹⁴ to¹⁵¹⁹ us-ward,²²⁴⁸ not³³⁶¹ willing¹⁰¹⁴ that any⁵¹⁰⁰ should perish,⁶²² but²³⁵ that all³⁹⁵⁶ should come⁵⁵⁶² to¹⁵¹⁹ repentance.³³⁴¹

9  주의G2962 약속은 어떤 이의 더디다고 생각하는 것같이 더딘 것이 아니라 오직 너희를 대하여 오래 참으사 아무도 멸망치 않고 다 회개하기에 이르기를 원하시느니라

9  The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not purposing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

9    주(야훼)의 약속은 어떤 사람들이 더디다고 생각하는 것같이 더딘 것이 아니라 오직 우리에 대하여 오래 참으시어 아무도 멸망하지 않고 다 회개에 이르게 하려 하심이라.

10  But¹¹⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ day²²⁵⁰ of the Lord²⁹⁶² will come²²⁴⁰ as⁵⁶¹³ a thief²⁸¹² in¹⁷²² the night;³⁵⁷¹ in¹⁷²² the which³⁷³⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ heavens³⁷⁷² shall pass away³⁹²⁸ with a great noise,⁴⁵⁰⁰ and¹¹⁶¹ the elements⁴⁷⁴⁷ shall melt³⁰⁸⁹ with fervent heat,²⁷⁴¹ the earth¹⁰⁹³ also²⁵³² and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ works²⁰⁴¹ that are therein^{1722, 846} shall be burned up.²⁶¹⁸

10  그러나 주의G2962 날이G2250 도적G2812같이 오리니G2240 그 날에는 하늘이G3772 큰 소리로G4500  떠나가고G3928 체질이G4747 뜨거운 불에G2741 풀어지고G3089 땅G1093과 그 중에 있는 모든 일이G2041 드러나리로다G2618

10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a rushing noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat. And the earth and the works in it will be burned up.

10    그러나 주(야훼)의 날이 밤에 도둑같이 오리니 그 날에는 하늘들이 굉장한 소리를 내며 사라지고 우주의 구성 요소들이 맹렬한 불로 녹아 내리며 땅과 그 안에 있는 일들이 타버릴 것이라.

야훼의 날:  사_2:12; 욜_1:15, 욜_2:1, 욜_2:31, 욜_3:14; 말_4:5; 계_1:10

사라지고:  시_102:26; 사_51:6; 마_24:35; 막_13:31; 히_1:11, 히_1:12;계_20:11, 계_21:1;  사_65:17, 사_66:22-23

11  Seeing then³⁷⁶⁷ that all³⁹⁵⁶ these things⁵¹³⁰ shall be dissolved,³⁰⁸⁹ what manner⁴²¹⁷ of persons ought¹¹⁶³ ye⁵²⁰⁹ to be⁵²²⁵ in¹⁷²² all holy⁴⁰ conversation³⁹¹ and²⁵³² godliness,²¹⁵⁰

11  이 모든 것이 이렇게 풀어지리니 너희가 어떠한 사람이 되어야 마땅하뇨 거룩한 행실과 경건함으로

11  Then, all these things being about to be dissolved, what sort ought you to be in holy behavior and godliness,

11    그때 이 모든 것이 녹아지리니 너희가 모든 거룩한 행실과 경건에 있어 어떠한 사람들이 되어야겠느냐?

12  Looking for⁴³²⁸ and²⁵³² hasting⁴⁶⁹² unto the³⁵⁸⁸ coming³⁹⁵² of the³⁵⁸⁸ day²²⁵⁰ of God,²³¹⁶ wherein^{1223, 3739} the heavens³⁷⁷² being on fire⁴⁴⁴⁸ shall be dissolved,³⁰⁸⁹ and²⁵³² the elements⁴⁷⁴⁷ shall melt⁵⁰⁸⁰ with fervent heat?²⁷⁴¹

12  하나님의G2316 날이 임하기를 바라보고 간절히 사모하라 그 날에 하늘이 불에 타서 풀어지고 체질이 뜨거운 불에 녹아지려니와

12  looking for and rushing the coming of the Day of God, on account of which the heavens, being on fire, will melt away, and the elements will melt, burning with heat?

12    하나님(야훼)의 날이 오기를 고대하고 열망하라. 그때는 하늘들이 불에 타서 녹아 버리고 우주의 구성 요소들도 맹렬한 불에 녹아질 것이나

13  Nevertheless¹¹⁶¹ we, according²⁵⁹⁶ to his⁸⁴⁶ promise,¹⁸⁶² look for⁴³²⁸ new²⁵³⁷ heavens³⁷⁷² and²⁵³² a new²⁵³⁷ earth,¹⁰⁹³ wherein^{1722, 3739} dwelleth²⁷³⁰ righteousness.¹³⁴³

13  우리는 그의 약속대로 의의 거하는바 새 하늘과 새 땅을 바라보도다

13  But according to His promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

13   우리는 그의 약속대로 의가 거하는 새 하늘들과 새 땅을 기다리도다.

14  Wherefore,¹³⁵² beloved,²⁷ seeing that ye look for⁴³²⁸ such things,⁵⁰²³ be diligent⁴⁷⁰⁴ that ye may be found²¹⁴⁷ of him⁸⁴⁶ in¹⁷²² peace,¹⁵¹⁵ without spot,⁷⁸⁴ and²⁵³² blameless.²⁹⁸

14  그러므로 사랑하는 자들아 너희가 이것을 바라보나니 주 앞에서 점도 없고 흠도 없이 평강 가운데서 나타나기를 힘쓰라

14  Therefore, beloved, looking for these things, be diligent, spotless, and without blemish, to be found by Him in peace.

14    그러므로 사랑하는 자들아, 너희가 이런 것을 기다리고 있으니 점 없고 흠 없이 평강 가운데서 그 분께 발견되도록 힘쓰라.

15  And²⁵³² account²²³³ that the³⁵⁸⁸ longsuffering³¹¹⁵ of our²²⁵⁷ Lord²⁹⁶² is salvation;⁴⁹⁹¹ even as²⁵³² our²²⁵⁷ beloved²⁷ brother⁸⁰ Paul³⁹⁷² also²⁵³² according²⁵⁹⁶ to the³⁵⁸⁸ wisdom⁴⁶⁷⁸ given¹³²⁵ unto him⁸⁴⁶ hath written¹¹²⁵ unto you;⁵²¹³

15  또 우리 주의G2962 오래 참으심이 구원이 될 줄로 여기라 우리 사랑하는 형제 바울도 그 받은 지혜대로 너희에게 이같이 썼고

15  And think of the long-suffering of our Lord as salvation (as our beloved brother Paul also has written to you according to the wisdom given to him

15  또 우리 주(아도나이)의 오래 참으심이 구원인 줄로 생각하라. 우리의 사랑하는 형제 바울도 그가 받은 지혜대로 너희에게 그렇게 썼고

16  As⁵⁶¹³ also²⁵³² in¹⁷²² all³⁹⁵⁶ his epistles,¹⁹⁹² speaking²⁹⁸⁰ in¹⁷²² them⁸⁴⁶ of⁴⁰¹² these things;⁵¹³⁰ in¹⁷²² which³⁷³⁹ are²⁰⁷⁶ some things⁵¹⁰⁰ hard to be understood,¹⁴²⁵ which³⁷³⁹ they that are unlearned²⁶¹ and²⁵³² unstable⁷⁹³ wrest,⁴⁷⁶¹ as⁵⁶¹³ they do also²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ other³⁰⁶² Scriptures,¹¹²⁴ unto⁴³¹⁴ their⁸⁴⁸ own²³⁹⁸ destruction.⁶⁸⁴

16  또 그 모든 편지에도 이런 일에 관하여 말하였으되 그 중에 알기 어려운G1425  것이 더러G5100 있으니 무식한 자들과 굳세지 못한 자들이G793  다른G3062 성경과G1124  같이 그것도 억지로 풀다가G4761 스스로 멸망에 이르느니라

16  as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable pervert, as also they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction).

16    그의 모든 편지에서도 이런 것에 관하여 말하고 있으나 그 가운데는 깨닫기 어려운 것이 더러 있어 무식한 자들과 견고하지 못한 자들이 다른 성경들처럼 억지로 풀다가 스스로 멸망에 이르느니라.

17  Ye⁵²¹⁰ therefore,³⁷⁶⁷ beloved,²⁷ seeing ye know these things before,⁴²⁶⁷ beware⁵⁴⁴² lest³³⁶³ ye also, being led away with⁴⁸⁷⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ error⁴¹⁰⁶ of the³⁵⁸⁸ wicked,¹¹³ fall from¹⁶⁰¹ your own²³⁹⁸ steadfastness.⁴⁷⁴⁰

17  그러므로 사랑하는 자들아 너희가 이것을 미리 알았은즉 무법한 자들의 미혹에 이끌려 너희 굳센 데서 떨어질까 삼가라

17  Therefore, beloved, knowing beforehand, beware lest being led away with the error of the lawless, you fall from your own steadfastness.

17   그러므로 사랑하는 자들아, 너희가 이런 것을 미리 알았으니 악한 자들의 미혹에 이끌려 자신의 견고한 입장에서 떨어지지 않도록 주의하라.

18  But¹¹⁶¹ grow⁸³⁷ in¹⁷²² grace,⁵⁴⁸⁵ and²⁵³² in the knowledge¹¹⁰⁸ of our²²⁵⁷ Lord²⁹⁶² and²⁵³² Savior⁴⁹⁹⁰ Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ.⁵⁵⁴⁷ To him⁸⁴⁶ be glory¹³⁹¹ both²⁵³² now³⁵⁶⁸ and²⁵³² forever.^{1519, 2250, 165} Amen.²⁸¹

18  오직 우리 주G2962 곧 구주 예수G2424 그리스도의G5547 은혜와 저를 아는 지식에서 자라가라 영광이 이제와 영원한 날까지 저에게 있을찌어다

18  But grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

18  은혜와 우리 주(아도나이시)요 구주이신 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(마쉬악을)를 아는 지식 안에서 자라가라. 영광이 이제와 영원토록 그에게 있을지어다. 아멘.
