1  But¹¹⁶¹ there were¹⁰⁹⁶ false prophets⁵⁵⁷⁸ also²⁵³² among¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ people,²⁹⁹² even²⁵³² as⁵⁶¹³ there shall be²⁰⁷¹ false teachers⁵⁵⁷² among¹⁷²² you,⁵²¹³ who³⁷⁴⁸ privily shall bring in³⁹¹⁹ damnable⁶⁸⁴ heresies,¹³⁹ even²⁵³² denying⁷²⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ Lord¹²⁰³ that bought⁵⁹ them,⁸⁴⁶ and bring upon¹⁸⁶³ themselves¹⁴³⁸ swift⁵⁰³¹ destruction.⁶⁸⁴

1  그러나 민간G2992에 또한 거짓 선지자들이G5578 일어났었나니G1096  이와 같이 너희 중에도 거짓 선생들이G5572 있으리라 저희는 멸망케 할G684  이단을G139  가만히 끌어들여G3919 자기들을 사신G59 주를G1203  부인하고G720 임박한G5031 멸망을G684  스스로G1438  취하는 자들이라G1863 

1  But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who secretly will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.

1   그러나 백성 가운데도 거짓 선지자들이 있었던 것처럼 너희 가운데도 거짓 교사들이 있으리라. 그들은 저주받을 이단들을 비밀리에 불러들여서 자기들을 사신 주(절대 통치자 絶對 統治者) 마저 부인하며 급격한 파멸을 스스로 불러들이느니라.

2  And²⁵³² many⁴¹⁸³ shall follow¹⁸¹¹ their⁸⁴⁶ pernicious ways;⁶⁸⁴ by reason of¹²²³ whom³⁷³⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ way³⁵⁹⁸ of truth²²⁵ shall be evil spoken of.⁹⁸⁷

2  여럿이 저희 호색하는 것을 좇으리니 이로 인하여 진리의 도가 훼방을 받을 것이요

2  And many will follow their pernicious ways, and because of them the way of truth will be evil spoken of.

2    또한 많은 사람들이 그들의 파멸의 길을 따르리니 그들로 인하여 진리의 길이 비방을 받을 것이라.

3  And²⁵³² through¹⁷²² covetousness⁴¹²⁴ shall they with feigned⁴¹¹² words³⁰⁵⁶ make merchandise¹⁷¹⁰ of you:⁵²⁰⁹ whose³⁷³⁹ judgment²⁹¹⁷ now of a long time¹⁵⁹⁷ lingereth⁶⁹¹ not,³⁷⁵⁶ and²⁵³² their⁸⁴⁶ damnation⁶⁸⁴ slumbereth³⁵⁷³ not.³⁷⁵⁶

3  저희가 탐심을 인하여 지은 말을 가지고 너희로 이를 삼으니 저희 심판은 옛적부터 지체하지 아니하며 저희 멸망은 자지 아니하느니라

3  And through covetousness they will use you for gain with well-turned words; for whom judgment from of old does not linger, and their destruction does not sleep.

3  그들은 탐욕을 품고 지어낸 말로 너희에게서 이득을 취하리니, 이제 그들의 심판은 예로부터 지체하지 않으며 그들의 멸망은 졸지 아니하느니라.

4  For¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ God²³¹⁶ spared⁵³³⁹ not³⁷⁵⁶ the angels³² that sinned,²⁶⁴ but²³⁵ cast them down to hell,⁵⁰²⁰ and delivered³⁸⁶⁰ them into chains⁴⁵⁷⁷ of darkness,²²¹⁷ to be reserved⁵⁰⁸³ unto¹⁵¹⁹ judgment;²⁹²⁰

4  하나님이G2316 범죄한 천사들을G32 용서치 아니하시고 지옥에 던져G5020 어두운G2217 구덩이에G4577 두어 심판 때G2920까지 지키게 하셨으며

4  For if God did not spare sinning angels, but thrust them down into Tartarus, and delivered them into chains of darkness, being reserved to judgment.

4    하나님(엘로힘)께서는 죄를 지은 천사들조차 아끼지 않으시고 지옥에 던져서 흑암의 사슬에 내어주어 심판 때까지 가두어 두셨으며

5  And²⁵³² spared⁵³³⁹ not³⁷⁵⁶ the old⁷⁴⁴ world,²⁸⁸⁹ but²³⁵ saved⁵⁴⁴² Noah³⁵⁷⁵ the eighth³⁵⁹⁰ person, a preacher²⁷⁸³ of righteousness,¹³⁴³ bringing in¹⁸⁶³ the flood²⁶²⁷ upon the world²⁸⁸⁹ of the ungodly;⁷⁶⁵

5  옛 세상을 용서치 아니하시고 오직 의를 전파하는 노아와 그 일곱 식구를 보존하시고 경건치 아니한 자들의 세상에 홍수를 내리셨으며

5  And He did not spare the old world, but saved Noah the eighth one, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.

5  또 옛 세상을 아끼지 아니하셨으나 여덟 번째 사람인 의의 전파자 노아는 구원하시고 경건치 않은 자들의 세상에 홍수를 내리셨느니라.

6  And²⁵³² turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes^{5077, 4172, 4670, 2532, 1116} condemned²⁶³² them with an overthrow,²⁶⁹² making⁵⁰⁸⁷ them an example⁵²⁶² unto those that after should³¹⁹⁵ live ungodly;⁷⁶⁴

6  소돔G4670과 고모라G1116 성을G4172 멸망하기로 정하여 재가 되게 하사G5077 후세에 경건치 아니할 자들에게 본을 삼으셨으며

6  And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, He condemned them with an overthrow, setting an example to men intending to live ungodly.

6  또 소돔과 고모라 성읍들을 무너뜨림으로 정죄하여 재가 되게 하셔서 후세에 경건치 않게 살 자들에게 본으로 삼으셨으며

7  And²⁵³² delivered⁴⁵⁰⁶ just¹³⁴² Lot,³⁰⁹¹ vexed²⁶⁶⁹ with⁵²⁵⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ filthy conversation^{1722, 766, 391} of the³⁵⁸⁸ wicked:¹¹³

7  무법한 자의 음란한 행실을 인하여 고통하는 의로운 롯을 건지셨으니

7  And He delivered righteous Lot, oppressed with the lustful behavior of the lawless.

7    또 사악한 자들의 음란한 행실로 인하여 고통당하는 의로운 롯을 건져내셨으니

8  (For¹⁰⁶³ that righteous man¹³⁴² dwelling¹⁴⁶⁰ among¹⁷²² them,⁸⁴⁶ in seeing⁹⁹⁰ and²⁵³² hearing,¹⁸⁹ vexed⁹²⁸ his righteous¹³⁴² soul⁵⁵⁹⁰ from day²²⁵⁰ to¹⁵³⁷ day²²⁵⁰ with their unlawful⁴⁵⁹ deeds);²⁰⁴¹

8  (이 의인이 저희 중에 거하여 날마다 저 불법한 행실을 보고 들음으로 그 의로운 심령을 상하니라)

8  For that righteous one living among them, in seeing and hearing, his righteous soul was tormented from day to day with their unlawful deeds.

8  (이는 그 의인이 그들 가운데 살면서 날마다 그들의 불법적인 행동을 보고 들음으로써 그의 의로운 혼이 고통을 당하였기 때문이니라.)

9  The Lord²⁹⁶² knoweth¹⁴⁹² how to deliver⁴⁵⁰⁶ the godly²¹⁵² out of¹⁵³⁷ temptations,³⁹⁸⁶ and¹¹⁶¹ to reserve⁵⁰⁸³ the unjust⁹⁴ unto¹⁵¹⁹ the day²²⁵⁰ of judgment²⁹²⁰ to be punished:²⁸⁴⁹

9  주께서G2962 경건한 자는 시험에서 건지시고 불의한 자는 형벌 아래 두어 심판 날까지 지키시며G5083

9  The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to reserve the unjust for a day of judgment, to be punished,

9  주(야훼)께서는 어떻게 경건한 자들을 시험에서 구해 내시고 불의한 자들을 형벌에 처할 심판의 날까지 가두실 것을 아시느니라.

10  But¹¹⁶¹ chiefly³¹²² them that walk⁴¹⁹⁸ after³⁶⁹⁴ the flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ in¹⁷²² the lust¹⁹³⁹ of uncleanness,³³⁹⁴ and²⁵³² despise²⁷⁰⁶ government.²⁹⁶³ Presumptuous⁵¹¹³ are they, self-willed,⁸²⁹ they are not³⁷⁵⁶ afraid⁵¹⁴¹ to speak evil⁹⁸⁷ of dignities.¹³⁹¹

10  육체를 따라 더러운 정욕 가운데서 행하며 주관하는 이를 멸시하는 자들에게 특별히 형벌하실 줄을 아시느니라 이들은 담대하고 고집하여 떨지 않고 영광 있는 자를 훼방하거니와

10  and especially those who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise dominion. They are darers, self-pleasing; not trembling at glories, speaking evil.

10  특히 더러운 정욕 가운데서 육체를 따라 행하고 통치권을 무시하는 자들에게니라. 그들은 대범하고 완고해서 위엄있는 자들을 비방하기를 두려워하지 아니하느니라.

11  Whereas³⁶⁹⁹ angels,³² which are⁵⁶⁰⁷ greater³¹⁸⁷ in power²⁴⁷⁹ and²⁵³² might,¹⁴¹¹ bring⁵³⁴² not³⁷⁵⁶ railing⁹⁸⁹ accusation²⁹²⁰ against²⁵⁹⁶ them⁸⁴⁶ before³⁸⁴⁴ the Lord.²⁹⁶²

11  더 큰 힘과 능력을 가진 천사들이라도 주G2962 앞에서 저희를 거스려 훼방하는 송사를 하지 아니하느니라

11  Where angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reproaching accusation against them before the Lord.

11 더 큰 능력과 권세를 가진 천사들도 주(야훼) 앞에서 그들을 거슬러 비방하는 송사를 하지 아니하나

12  But¹¹⁶¹ these,³⁷⁷⁸ as⁵⁶¹³ natural⁵⁴⁴⁶ brute²⁴⁹ beasts,²²²⁶ made¹⁰⁸⁰ to be taken^{1519, 259} and²⁵³² destroyed,⁵³⁵⁶ speak evil⁹⁸⁷ of¹⁷²² the things that³⁷³⁹ they understand not;⁵⁰ and shall utterly perish²⁷⁰⁴ in¹⁷²² their own⁸⁴⁸ corruption;⁵³⁵⁶

12  그러나 이 사람들은 본래 잡혀 죽기 위하여 난 이성 없는 짐승 같아서 그 알지 못한G50 것을G3739 훼방하고G987 저희 멸망 가운데서 멸망을 당하며

12  But these, as unreasoning natural brute animals having been born for capture and corruption, speak evil of the things that they do not understand. And they will utterly perish in their own corruption,

12    이들은 잡혀서 멸망케 된 본성이 잔인한 짐승 같아서 자기들이 알지 못하는 것을 비방하다가 그들 자신의 타락 가운데서 완전히 멸망하게 되리라.

13  And shall receive²⁸⁶⁵ the reward³⁴⁰⁸ of unrighteousness,⁹³ as they that count²²³³ it pleasure²²³⁷ to riot⁵¹⁷² in¹⁷²² the day time.²²⁵⁰ Spots⁴⁶⁹⁵ they are and²⁵³² blemishes,³⁴⁷⁰ sporting themselves¹⁷⁹² with¹⁷²² their own⁸⁴⁸ deceivings⁵³⁹ while they feast⁴⁹¹⁰ with you;⁵²¹³

13  불의의 값으로 불의를 당하며 낮에 연락을 기쁘게 여기는 자들이니 점과 흠이라 너희와 함께 연회할 때에 저희 간사한 가운데 연락하며

13  being about to receive the wages of unrighteousness, deeming indulgence as pleasure in the daytime, and reveling in spots and blemishes, feasting along with you in their deceits,

13  그들은 불의의 대가를 받게 되리니 대낮에 흥청거리는 것을 낙으로 여기며, 너희와 더불어 잔치를 즐기는 동안에도 자신들의 속임수로 방탕하니 그들은 점과 흠이요

14  Having²¹⁹² eyes³⁷⁸⁸ full³³²⁴ of adultery,³⁴²⁸ and²⁵³² that cannot cease¹⁸⁰ from sin;²⁶⁶ beguiling¹¹⁸⁵ unstable⁷⁹³ souls:⁵⁵⁹⁰ a heart²⁵⁸⁸ they have²¹⁹² exercised¹¹²⁸ with covetous practices;⁴¹²⁴ cursed²⁶⁷¹ children:⁵⁰⁴³

14  음심이 가득한 눈을 가지고 범죄하기를 쉬지 아니하고 굳세지 못한 영혼들을 유혹하며 탐욕에 연단된 마음을 가진 자들이니 저주의 자식이라

14  having eyes full of adultery and never ceasing from sin, alluring unstable souls, having a heart exercised with covetousness. They are cursed children

14  음욕이 가득 찬 눈을 가지며 죄로부터 단절될 수 없고, 견고하지 못한 혼들을 유혹하며 그들은 마음이 탐욕으로 단련되었으니 저주받은 자식들이니라.

15  Which have forsaken²⁶⁴¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ right²¹¹⁷ way,³⁵⁹⁸ and are gone astray,⁴¹⁰⁵ following¹⁸¹¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ way³⁵⁹⁸ of Balaam⁹⁰³ the son of Bosor,¹⁰⁰⁷ who³⁷³⁹ loved²⁵ the wages³⁴⁰⁸ of unrighteousness;⁹³

15  저희가 바른 길을 떠나 미혹하여 브올의 아들 발람의 길을 좇는도다 그는 불의의 삯을 사랑하다가

15  who have forsaken the right way and have gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness,

15 그들이 바른 길을 버리고 빗나가서 브올의 아들 발라암의 길을 따르는도다. 그는 불의의 삯을 사랑하였으나

16  But¹¹⁶¹ was rebuked^{2192, 1649} for his²³⁹⁸ iniquity:³⁸⁹² the dumb⁸⁸⁰ ass⁵²⁶⁸ speaking⁵³⁵⁰ with¹⁷²² man's⁴⁴⁴ voice⁵⁴⁵⁶ forbade²⁹⁶⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ madness³⁹¹³ of the³⁵⁸⁸ prophet.⁴³⁹⁶

16  자기의 불법을 인하여 책망을 받되 말 못하는 나귀가 사람의 소리로 말하여 이 선지자의 미친 것을 금지하였느니라

16  but had reproof of his lawbreaking, a dumb ass speaking in a man's voice, held back the madness of the prophet.

16   자기의 죄악으로 인하여 책망을 받았으니 말못하는 나귀가 사람의 음성으로 말하여 그 선지자의 미친 짓을 막았느니라.

17  These³⁷⁷⁸ are¹⁵²⁶ wells⁴⁰⁷⁷ without water,⁵⁰⁴ clouds³⁵⁰⁷ that are carried¹⁶⁴³ with⁵²⁵⁹ a tempest:²⁹⁷⁸ to whom³⁷³⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ mist²²¹⁷ of darkness⁴⁶⁵⁵ is reserved⁵⁰⁸³ forever.^{1519, 165}

17  이 사람들은 물 없는 샘이요 광풍에 밀려 가는 안개니 저희를 위하여 캄캄한 어두움이 예비되어 있나니

17  These are wells without water, clouds driven with a tempest, for whom the blackness of darkness is reserved forever.

17    이들은 물 없는 샘이요, 폭풍에 밀려다니는 구름이니 이들을 위하여 흑암의 안개가 영원히 간직되어 있느니라.

18  For¹⁰⁶³ when they speak⁵³⁵⁰ great swelling⁵²⁴⁶ words of vanity,³¹⁵³ they allure¹¹⁸⁵ through¹⁷²² the lusts¹⁹³⁹ of the flesh,⁴⁵⁶¹ through much wantonness,⁷⁶⁶ those that were clean escaped^{668, 3689} from them who live³⁹⁰ in¹⁷²² error.⁴¹⁰⁶

18  저희가 허탄한 자랑의 말을 토하여 미혹한데 행하는 사람들에게서 겨우 피한 자들을 음란으로써 육체의 정욕 중에서 유혹하여

18  For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they lure through the lusts of the flesh, by unbridled lust, the ones who were escaping from those who live in error;

18  그들은 헛된 말로 자랑하며 잘못된 생활을 하는 자들에게서 온전히 피해 나온 자들을 방탕함과 육신의 정욕으로 유혹하며,

19  While they promise¹⁸⁶¹ them⁸⁴⁶ liberty,¹⁶⁵⁷ they⁸⁴⁶ themselves are⁵²²⁵ the servants¹⁴⁰¹ of corruption:⁵³⁵⁶ for¹⁰⁶³ of whom³⁷³⁹ a man⁵¹⁰⁰ is overcome,²²⁷⁴ of the same⁵¹²⁹ is he⁽²⁵³²⁾ brought in bondage.¹⁴⁰²

19  저희에게 자유를 준다 하여도 자기는 멸망의 종들이니 누구든지 진 자는 이긴 자의 종이 됨이니라

19  promising them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom anyone has been overcome, even to this one he has been enslaved.

19    그들에게 자유를 약속하나 자기들 자신은 타락의 종들이니, 누구든지 정복을 당하면, 그는 정복한 자의 종이 되는 것이라.

20  For¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ after they have escaped⁶⁶⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ pollutions³³⁹³ of the³⁵⁸⁸ world²⁸⁸⁹ through¹⁷²² the knowledge¹⁹²² of the³⁵⁸⁸ Lord²⁹⁶² and²⁵³² Savior⁴⁹⁹⁰ Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ they are⁽¹¹⁶¹⁾ again³⁸²⁵ entangled¹⁷⁰⁷ therein,⁵¹²⁵ and²⁵³² overcome,²²⁷⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ latter end²⁰⁷⁸ is¹⁰⁹⁶ worse⁵⁵⁰¹ with them⁸⁴⁶ than the³⁵⁸⁸ beginning.⁴⁴¹³

20  만일 저희가 우리 주G2962 되신 구주 예수G2424 그리스도를G5547 앎으로 세상의 더러움을 피한 후에 다시 그 중에 얽매이고 지면 그 나중 형편이 처음보다 더 심하리니

20  For if they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the full knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and are again entangled, they have been overcome by these, their last things are worse than the first.

20 만일 그들이 주(아도나이)요 구주이신 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악을)를 아는 지식을 통해 세상의 오염에서 피했다가 다시 거기에 말려들고 패배하면 그들의 나중 결과가 처음보다 더 악화되나니

21  For¹⁰⁶³ it had been²²⁵⁸ better²⁹⁰⁹ for them⁸⁴⁶ not³³⁶¹ to have known¹⁹²¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ way³⁵⁹⁸ of righteousness,¹³⁴³ than,²²²⁸ after they have known¹⁹²¹ it, to turn¹⁹⁹⁴ from¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ holy⁴⁰ commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ delivered³⁸⁶⁰ unto them.⁸⁴⁶

21  의의 도를 안 후에 받은 거룩한 명령을 저버리는 것보다 알지 못하는 것이 도리어 저희에게 나으니라

21  For it would have been better for them not to have fully known the way of righteousness, than fully knowing it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

21   의의 길을 알고 난 뒤에 그들에게 전수된 거룩한 계명을 저버리는 것보다는 알지 못했던 편이 더 나았으리라.

22  But¹¹⁶¹ it is happened⁴⁸¹⁹ unto them⁸⁴⁶ according⁽³⁵⁸⁸⁾ to the³⁵⁸⁸ true²²⁷ proverb,³⁹⁴² The dog²⁹⁶⁵ is turned to his own vomit again;^{1994, 1909, 2398, 1829} and²⁵³² the sow⁵³⁰⁰ that was washed³⁰⁶⁸ to¹⁵¹⁹ her wallowing²⁹⁴⁶ in the mire.¹⁰⁰⁴

22  참 속담에 이르기를 개가 그 토하였던 것에 돌아가고 돼지가 씻었다가 더러운 구덩이에 도로 누웠다 하는 말이 저희에게 응하였도다

22  But the word of the true proverb has happened to them: The dog turning to his own vomit; and, The washed sow to wallowing in the mire.

22    참된 잠언대로 그들에게 이루어진 것이니 "개가 스스로 토해 낸 것에 다시 돌아가고 또 돼지는 씻고 나서 진창 속에서 뒹군다." 하였도다.
