1  The³⁵⁸⁸ elder⁴²⁴⁵ unto the elect¹⁵⁸⁸ lady²⁹⁵⁹ and²⁵³² her⁸⁴⁸ children,⁵⁰⁴³ whom³⁷³⁹ I¹⁴⁷³ love²⁵ in¹⁷²² the truth;²²⁵ and²⁵³² not³⁷⁵⁶ I¹⁴⁷³ only,³⁴⁴¹ but²³⁵ also²⁵³² all³⁹⁵⁶ they that have known¹⁰⁹⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ truth;²²⁵

1  장로는G4245 택하심을 입은G1588 부녀와 그의 자녀에게 편지하노니 내가 참으로 사랑하는 자요 나 뿐 아니라 진리를 아는 모든 자도 그리하는 것은

1  The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth and not only I, but also all those who have known the truth,

1 장로인 나는 진리 안에서 사랑하는, 그리고 나뿐만 아니라 진리를 아는 모든 사람도 사랑하는, 택함받은 부인과 그녀의 자녀들에게 편지하노니,

2  For the truth's sake,^{1223, 3588, 225} which dwelleth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² us,²²⁵⁴ and²⁵³² shall be²⁰⁷¹ with³³²⁶ us²²⁵⁷ forever.^{1519, 165}

2  우리 안에 거하여 영원히 우리와 함께 할 진리를 인함이로다

2  for the sake of the truth dwelling in us, and which shall be with us forever.

2   이는 우리 안에 거하고 또 우리와 함께 영원히 있을 진리를 위해서니라.

3  Grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ be²⁰⁷¹ with³³²⁶ you,⁵²¹⁶ mercy,¹⁶⁵⁶ and peace,¹⁵¹⁵ from³⁸⁴⁴ God²³¹⁶ the Father,³⁹⁶² and²⁵³² from³⁸⁴⁴ the Lord²⁹⁶² Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of the³⁵⁸⁸ Father,³⁹⁶² in¹⁷²² truth²²⁵ and²⁵³² love.²⁶

3  은혜와 긍휼과 평강이 하나님G2316 아버지와 아버지의 아들 예수G2424 그리스도께G5547로부터 진리와 사랑 가운데서 우리와 함께 있으리라

3  Grace will be with you, mercy and peace from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

3   하나님(야훼) 아버지와, 아버지의 아들 주(아도나이H136) 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악H4899으)로부터 진리와 사랑 안에서 은혜와 자비와 평강이 너희와 함께 있으리로다.

4  I rejoiced⁵⁴⁶³ greatly³⁰²⁹ that³⁷⁵⁴ I found²¹⁴⁷ of¹⁵³⁷ thy⁴⁶⁷⁵ children⁵⁰⁴³ walking⁴⁰⁴³ in¹⁷²² truth,²²⁵ as²⁵³¹ we have received²⁹⁸³ a commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ from³⁸⁴⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father.³⁹⁶²

4  너의 자녀 중에 우리가 아버지께 받은 계명대로 진리에 행하는 자를 내가 보니 심히 기쁘도다

4  I rejoiced greatly that I found your children walking in truth, as we have received command from the Father.

4    네 자녀들이 우리가 아버지께로부터 받은 계명대로 진리 안에서 행하는 것을 보고 내가 매우 기뻐하였노라.

5  And²⁵³² now³⁵⁶⁸ I beseech²⁰⁶⁵ thee,⁴⁵⁷¹ lady,²⁹⁵⁹ not³⁷⁵⁶ as though⁵⁶¹³ I wrote¹¹²⁵ a new²⁵³⁷ commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ unto thee,⁴⁶⁷¹ but²³⁵ that which³⁷³⁹ we had²¹⁹² from⁵⁷⁵ the beginning,⁷⁴⁶ that²⁴⁴³ we love²⁵ one another.²⁴⁰

5  부녀여 내가 이제 네게 구하노니 서로 사랑하자 이는 새G2537 계명G1785같이 네게 쓰는 것이 아니요 오직 처음G746부터G575  우리가 가진G2192 것이라G3739

5  And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

5   부인이여, 이제 내가 너에게 간청하노니, 내가 네게 새 계명을 쓰는 것이 아니고, 처음부터 우리가 가진 것이니, 곧 우리가 서로 사랑해야 한다는 것이라.

6  And²⁵³² this³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ love,²⁶ that²⁴⁴³ we walk⁴⁰⁴³ after²⁵⁹⁶ his⁸⁴⁸ commandments.¹⁷⁸⁵ This³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ commandment,¹⁷⁸⁵ That,⁽²⁴⁴³⁾ as²⁵³¹ ye have heard¹⁹¹ from⁵⁷⁵ the beginning,⁷⁴⁶ ye should walk⁴⁰⁴³ in¹⁷²² it.⁸⁴⁶

6  또 사랑은G26 이것G3778이니G2076 우리가 그 계명을G1785 좇아G2596 행하는G4043 것이요G2443 계명은G1785 이것이G3778니G2076 너희가 처음부터 들은 바와 같이 그 가운데서 행하라 하심이라

6  And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, as you heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.

6  사랑은 이것이니, 우리가 그의 계명들대로 행하는 것이라. 그 계명은 이것이니 너희가 처음부터 들은 바와 같이 너희가 그 사랑 안에서 행해야 한다는 것이라.

7  For³⁷⁵⁴ many⁴¹⁸³ deceivers⁴¹⁰⁸ are entered¹⁵²⁵ into¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ who confess³⁶⁷⁰ not³³⁶¹ that Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ is come²⁰⁶⁴ in¹⁷²² the flesh.⁴⁵⁶¹ This³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ a deceiver⁴¹⁰⁸ and²⁵³² an antichrist.⁵⁰⁰

7  미혹하는 자가 많이 세상에 나왔나니 이는 예수G2424 그리스도께서G5547 육체로 임하심을 부인하는 자라 이것이 미혹하는 자요 적그리스도니

7  For many deceivers have entered into the world, who do not confess Jesus Christ coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the anti-christ.

7   많은 미혹하는 자들이 세상에 들어왔나니, 그들은 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)께서 육신으로 오신 것을 시인하지 않는 자들이라. 이것이 미혹하는 자요, 적그리스도(적-마쉬악이)라.

8  Look to⁹⁹¹ yourselves,¹⁴³⁸ that²⁴⁴³ we lose⁶²² not³³⁶¹ those things which³⁷³⁹ we have wrought,²⁰³⁸ but²³⁵ that we receive⁶¹⁸ a full⁴¹³⁴ reward.³⁴⁰⁸

8  너희는 너희를 삼가 우리의 일한 것을 잃지 말고 오직 온전한 상을 얻으라

8  Look to yourselves, so that we may not lose those things which we worked out, but that we may receive a full reward.

8   너희 자신을 돌아보라. 이는 우리가 이루어 놓은 것들을 잃지 아니하고 온전한 상을 받으려는 것이라.

9  Whosoever³⁹⁵⁶ transgresseth,³⁸⁴⁵ and²⁵³² abideth³³⁰⁶ not³³⁶¹ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ doctrine¹³²² of Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ hath²¹⁹² not³⁷⁵⁶ God.²³¹⁶ He that abideth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ doctrine¹³²² of Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ he³⁷⁷⁸ hath²¹⁹² both²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ Father³⁹⁶² and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ Son.⁵²⁰⁷

9  지내쳐 그리스도G5547 교훈 안에 거하지 아니하는 자마다 하나님을G2316 모시지 못하되 교훈 안에 거하는 이 사람이 아버지와 아들을 모시느니라

9  Everyone transgressing and not abiding in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.

9    범죄하고 그리스도(마쉬악)의 교리 안에 거하지 아니하는 자마다 하나님(야훼께서)이 없으나, 그리스도(마쉬악)의 교리 안에 거하는 그 사람은 아버지와 아들이 있는 자니라.

10  If there come any^{1536, 2064} unto⁴³¹⁴ you,⁵²⁰⁹ and²⁵³² bring⁵³⁴² not³⁷⁵⁶ this⁵⁰²⁶ doctrine,¹³²² receive²⁹⁸³ him⁸⁴⁶ not³³⁶¹ into¹⁵¹⁹ your house,³⁶¹⁴ neither^{2532, 3361} bid³⁰⁰⁴ him⁸⁴⁶ Godspeed:⁵⁴⁶³

10  누구든지 이 교훈을 가지지 않고 너희에게 나아가거든 그를 집에 들이지도 말고 인사도 말라

10  If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house, nor speak a greeting to him.

10  어떤 사람이 너희에게 오되 이 교리를 가지고 오지 아니하면 그를 집에 영접하지도 말고 그에게 문안하지도 말라.

11  For¹⁰⁶³ he that biddeth³⁰⁰⁴ him⁸⁴⁶ Godspeed⁵⁴⁶³ is partaker²⁸⁴¹ of his⁸⁴⁸ evil⁴¹⁹⁰ deeds.²⁰⁴¹

11  그에게 인사하는 자는 그 악한 일에 참예하는 자임이니라

11  For he who speaks a greeting to him is partaker of his evil deeds.

11  이는 그에게 문안하는 자는 그의 악한 일들에 참여하는 자임이라.

12  Having²¹⁹² many things⁴¹⁸³ to write¹¹²⁵ unto you,⁵²¹³ I would¹⁰¹⁴ not³⁷⁵⁶ write with¹²²³ paper⁵⁴⁸⁹ and²⁵³² ink:³¹⁸⁸ but²³⁵ I trust¹⁶⁷⁹ to come²⁰⁶⁴ unto⁴³¹⁴ you,⁵²⁰⁹ and²⁵³² speak²⁹⁸⁰ face to face,^{4750, 4314, 4750} that²⁴⁴³ our²²⁵⁷ joy⁵⁴⁷⁹ may be⁵⁶⁰⁰ full.⁴¹³⁷

12  내가 너희에게 쓸 것이 많으나 종이와 먹으로 쓰기를 원치 아니하고 오히려 너희에게 가서 면대하여 말하려 하니 이는 너희 기쁨을 충만케 하려 함이라

12  Having many things to write to you, I do not want to say with paper and ink. But I trust to come to you and speak face to face, so that our joy may be full.

12    내가 너희에게 쓸 것이 많으나 종이와 잉크로 쓰기를 원치 아니하며 오히려 너희에게 가서 대면하여 말하기를 바라노니, 이는 우리의 기쁨이 충만케 하려 함이라.

13  The³⁵⁸⁸ children⁵⁰⁴³ of thy⁴⁶⁷⁵ elect¹⁵⁸⁸ sister⁷⁹ greet⁷⁸² thee.⁴⁵⁷¹ Amen.²⁸¹

13  택하심을 입은 네 자매의 자녀가 네게 문안하느니라

13  The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.

13    너의 택함받은 자매의 자녀들이 네게 문안하느니라. 아멘.
