1  My³⁴⁵⁰ little children,⁵⁰⁴⁰ these things⁵⁰²³ write¹¹²⁵ I unto you,⁵²¹³ that²⁴⁴³ ye sin²⁶⁴ not.³³⁶¹ And²⁵³² if¹⁴³⁷ any man⁵¹⁰⁰ sin,²⁶⁴ we have²¹⁹² an advocate³⁸⁷⁵ with⁴³¹⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father,³⁹⁶² Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ the righteous:¹³⁴²

1  나의 자녀들아 내가 이것을 너희에게 씀은 너희로 죄를 범치 않게 하려 함이라 만일 누가 죄를 범하면G264 아버지 앞에서 우리에게 대언자가G3875 있으니 곧 의로우신 예수G2424 그리스도시라G5547

1  My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

1  나의 어린 자녀들아, 내가 이런 것들을 너희에게 쓰는 것은 너희로 죄를 짓지 않게 하려는 것이라. 그러나 만일 누가 죄를 지으면 우리에게 아버지와 함께 있는 한 변호인이 있으니, 곧 의인이신 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악H4899이)시라.

2  And²⁵³² he⁸⁴⁶ is²⁰⁷⁶ the propitiation²⁴³⁴ for⁴⁰¹² our²²⁵⁷ sins:²⁶⁶ and¹¹⁶¹ not³⁷⁵⁶ for⁴⁰¹² ours²²⁵¹ only,³⁴⁴⁰ but²³⁵ also²⁵³² for⁴⁰¹² the sins of the³⁵⁸⁸ whole³⁶⁵⁰ world.²⁸⁸⁹

2  저는 우리 죄를 위한 화목 제물G2434이니 우리만 위할 뿐 아니요 온 세상의 죄를 위하심이라

2  And He is the propitiation concerning our sins, and not concerning ours only, but also concerning the sins of all the world.

2    그는 우리의 죄들을 위한 화목제물이시니, 우리뿐만 아니라 온 세상의 죄들을 위한 것이니라.

3  And²⁵³² hereby^{1722, 5129} we do know¹⁰⁹⁷ that³⁷⁵⁴ we know¹⁰⁹⁷ him,⁸⁴⁶ if¹⁴³⁷ we keep⁵⁰⁸³ his⁸⁴⁸ commandments.¹⁷⁸⁵

3  우리가 그의 계명을G1785  지키면G5083 이로써 우리가 저를 아는G1097  줄로 알 것이요G1097

3  And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments.

3  만일 우리가 그의 계명들을 지키면 이로써 우리가 그 분을 알고 있음을 아는 것이요

4  He that saith,³⁰⁰⁴ I know¹⁰⁹⁷ him,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² keepeth⁵⁰⁸³ not³³⁶¹ his⁸⁴⁸ commandments,¹⁷⁸⁵ is²⁰⁷⁶ a liar,⁵⁵⁸³ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ truth²²⁵ is²⁰⁷⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ in¹⁷²² him.⁵¹²⁹

4  저를 아노라G1097 하고 그의 계명을G1785 지키지G5083 아니하는G3361 자는 거짓말하는 자G5583요 진리가G225 그 속에 있지 아니하되

4  He who says, I have known Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

4 "나는 그 분을 아노라." 하면서 그의 계명들을 지키지 아니하는 자는 거짓말쟁이니, 진리가 그 사람 안에 있지 아니하니라.

5  But¹¹⁶¹ whoso^{3739, 302} keepeth⁵⁰⁸³ his⁸⁴⁸ word,³⁰⁵⁶ in¹⁷²² him⁵¹²⁹ verily²³⁰ is the³⁵⁸⁸ love²⁶ of God²³¹⁶ perfected:⁵⁰⁴⁸ hereby^{1722, 5129} know¹⁰⁹⁷ we that³⁷⁵⁴ we are²⁰⁷⁰ in¹⁷²² him.⁸⁴⁶

5  누구든지 그의 말씀을 지키는 자는 하나님의 G2316사랑이 참으로 그 속에서 온전케 되었나니 이로써 우리가 저 안에 있는 줄을 아노라

5  But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.

5   누구든지 그의 말씀을 지키는 자는 하나님(엘로힘)의 사랑이 참으로 그 사람 안에서 온전해지니, 이로써 우리가 그 분 안에 있음을 아느니라.

6  He that saith³⁰⁰⁴ he abideth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² him⁸⁴⁶ ought³⁷⁸⁴ himself⁸⁴⁸ also²⁵³² so³⁷⁷⁹ to walk,⁴⁰⁴³ even as²⁵³¹ he¹⁵⁶⁵ walked.⁴⁰⁴³

6  저 안에 거한다 하는 자는 그의 행하시는G4043 대로 자기도 행할G4043지니라

6  He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk even as He walked.

6  그 분 안에 거한다고 말하는 자는 그가 행하신 대로 자기도 행해야 하느니라.

7  Brethren,⁸⁰ I write¹¹²⁵ no³⁷⁵⁶ new²⁵³⁷ commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ unto you,⁵²¹³ but²³⁵ an old³⁸²⁰ commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ which³⁷³⁹ ye had²¹⁹² from⁵⁷⁵ the beginning.⁷⁴⁶ The³⁵⁸⁸ old³⁸²⁰ commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ word³⁰⁵⁶ which³⁷³⁹ ye have heard¹⁹¹ from⁵⁷⁵ the beginning.⁷⁴⁶

7  사랑하는 자들아 내가 새G2537 계명을G1785 너희에게 쓰는 것이G1125 아니라G3756 너희가 처음부터 가진 옛G3820 계명이니G1785 이 옛 계명은 너희의 들은바 말씀이거니와

7  Brothers, I do not write a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the Word which you have heard from the beginning.

7  형제들아, 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 새 계명이 아니라 처음부터 너희가 가졌던 옛 계명이라. 이 옛 계명은 너희가 처음부터 들었던 말씀이니라.

계명:  레_19:18, 레_19:34; 신_6:5; 마_5:43, 마_22:37-40; 막_12:29-34; 롬_13:8-10; 갈_5:13, 갈_5:14; 히_8:8-10; 약_2:8-12

8  Again,³⁸²⁵ a new²⁵³⁷ commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ I write¹¹²⁵ unto you,⁵²¹³ which thing³⁷³⁹ is²⁰⁷⁶ true²²⁷ in¹⁷²² him⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² in¹⁷²² you:⁵²¹³ because³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ darkness⁴⁶⁵³ is past,³⁸⁵⁵ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ true²²⁸ light⁵⁴⁵⁷ now²²³⁵ shineth.⁵³¹⁶

8  다시 내가 너희에게 새 계명을 쓰노니 저에게와 너희에게도 참된것이라 이는 어두움이 지나가고 참 빛이 벌써 비췸이니라

8  Again, I write a new commandment to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true Light now shines.

8  또 내가 너희에게 새 계명을 쓰노니, 이는 그 분과 너희에게 참된 것이라. 이는 어두움이 지나갔고 이제 참 빛이 빛나고 있기 때문이라.

9  He that saith³⁰⁰⁴ he is¹⁵¹¹ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ light,⁵⁴⁵⁷ and²⁵³² hateth³⁴⁰⁴ his⁸⁴⁸ brother,⁸⁰ is²⁰⁷⁶ in¹⁷²² darkness⁴⁶⁵³ even until²¹⁹³ now.⁷³⁷

9  빛 가운데 있다 하며 그 형제를 미워하는 자는 지금까지 어두운 가운데 있는 자요

9  He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in darkness until now.

9   그 빛 가운데 있다고 말하면서 자기 형제를 미워하는 자는 지금까지도 어두움 가운데 있느니라.

10  He that loveth²⁵ his⁸⁴⁸ brother⁸⁰ abideth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ light,⁵⁴⁵⁷ and²⁵³² there is²⁰⁷⁶ none³⁷⁵⁶ occasion of stumbling⁴⁶²⁵ in¹⁷²² him.⁸⁴⁶

10  그의 형제를 사랑하는 자는 빛 가운데 거하여 자기속에 거리낌이 없으나

10  He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no offense in him.

10  자기 형제를 사랑하는 자는 빛 가운데 거하며 자기 안에 실족할 계기가 없으나

11  But¹¹⁶¹ he that hateth³⁴⁰⁴ his⁸⁴⁸ brother⁸⁰ is²⁰⁷⁶ in¹⁷²² darkness,⁴⁶⁵³ and²⁵³² walketh⁴⁰⁴³ in¹⁷²² darkness,⁴⁶⁵³ and²⁵³² knoweth¹⁴⁹² not³⁷⁵⁶ whither⁴²²⁶ he goeth,⁵²¹⁷ because³⁷⁵⁴ that darkness⁴⁶⁵³ hath blinded⁵¹⁸⁶ his⁸⁴⁸ eyes.³⁷⁸⁸

11  그의 형제를 미워하는 자는 어두운 가운데 있고 또 어두운 가운데 행하며 갈 곳을 알지 못하나니 이는 어두움이 그의 눈을 멀게 하였음이니라

11  But he who hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because darkness has blinded his eyes.

11  자기 형제를 미워하는 자는 어두움 가운데 있고 어두움 가운데 행하되 자기가 어디로 가는지 모르니, 이는 어두움이 그의 눈을 멀게 하였음이라.

12  I write¹¹²⁵ unto you,⁵²¹³ little children,⁵⁰⁴⁰ because³⁷⁵⁴ your sins²⁶⁶ are forgiven⁸⁶³ you⁵²¹³ for his name's sake.^{1223, 848, 3686}

12  자녀들아 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 너희 죄가 그의 이름으로 말미암아 사함을 얻음이요

12  I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake.

12  어린 자녀들아, 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 그의 이름을 인하여 너희의 죄들이 용서되었기 때문이라.

13  I write¹¹²⁵ unto you,⁵²¹³ fathers,³⁹⁶² because³⁷⁵⁴ ye have known¹⁰⁹⁷ him³⁵⁸⁸ that is from⁵⁷⁵ the beginning.⁷⁴⁶ I write¹¹²⁵ unto you,⁵²¹³ young men,³⁴⁹⁵ because³⁷⁵⁴ ye have overcome³⁵²⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ wicked one.⁴¹⁹⁰ I write¹¹²⁵ unto you,⁵²¹³ little children,³⁸¹³ because³⁷⁵⁴ ye have known¹⁰⁹⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father.³⁹⁶²

13  아비들아 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 너희가 태초부터 계신 이를 앎이요 청년들아 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 너희가 악한 자를 이기었음이니라

13  I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father.

13  아비들아, 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 너희가 처음부터 계신 분을 알았기 때문이요, 청년들아, 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 너희가 악한 자를 이겼기 때문이며, 어린 자녀들아, 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 너희가 아버지를 알았기 때문이라.

14  I have written¹¹²⁵ unto you,⁵²¹³ fathers,³⁹⁶² because³⁷⁵⁴ ye have known¹⁰⁹⁷ him³⁵⁸⁸ that is from⁵⁷⁵ the beginning.⁷⁴⁶ I have written¹¹²⁵ unto you,⁵²¹³ young men,³⁴⁹⁵ because³⁷⁵⁴ ye are²⁰⁷⁵ strong,²⁴⁷⁸ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ word³⁰⁵⁶ of God²³¹⁶ abideth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² you,⁵²¹³ and²⁵³² ye have overcome³⁵²⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ wicked one.⁴¹⁹⁰

14  아이들아 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 너희가 아버지를 알았음이요 아비들아 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 너희가 태초부터 계신 이를 알았음이요 청년들아 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 너희가 강하고 하나님의G2316 말씀이 너희 속에 거하시고 너희가 흉악한 자를 이기었음이라

14  I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the Word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

14  아비들아, 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 너희가 처음부터 계신 분을 알았기 때문이요, 청년들아, 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 너희가 굳세고 하나님(엘로힘)의 말씀이 너희 안에 거하며 너희가 악한 자를 이겼기 때문이라.

15  Love²⁵ not³³⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ neither³³⁶⁶ the things³⁵⁸⁸ that are in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ world.²⁸⁸⁹ If¹⁴³⁷ any man⁵¹⁰⁰ love²⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ love²⁶ of the³⁵⁸⁸ Father³⁹⁶² is²⁰⁷⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ in¹⁷²² him.⁸⁴⁶

15  이 세상이나 세상에 있는 것들을 사랑치 말라 누구든지 세상을 사랑하면 아버지의 사랑이 그 속에 있지 아니하니

15  Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,

15   세상도, 세상에 있는 것들도 사랑하지 말라. 누구든지 세상을 사랑하면 아버지를 사랑함이 그 안에 있지 아니하니

16  For³⁷⁵⁴ all³⁹⁵⁶ that³⁵⁸⁸ is in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ lust¹⁹³⁹ of the³⁵⁸⁸ flesh,⁴⁵⁶¹ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ lust¹⁹³⁹ of the³⁵⁸⁸ eyes,³⁷⁸⁸ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ pride²¹² of life,⁹⁷⁹ is²⁰⁷⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father,³⁹⁶² but²³⁵ is²⁰⁷⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ world.²⁸⁸⁹

16  이는 세상에 있는 모든 것이 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 이생의 자랑이니 다 아버지께로 좇아 온 것이 아니요 세상으로 좇아 온 것이라

16  because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

16  이는 세상에 있는 모든 것이 육신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 생의 자랑이요, 아버지께 속한 것이 아니라 세상에 속한 것이기 때문이라.

17  And²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ world²⁸⁸⁹ passeth away,³⁸⁵⁵ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ lust¹⁹³⁹ thereof:⁸⁴⁸ but¹¹⁶¹ he that doeth⁴¹⁶⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ will²³⁰⁷ of God²³¹⁶ abideth³³⁰⁶ forever.^{1519, 165}

17  이 세상도 그 정욕도 지나가되 오직 하나님의G2316 뜻을G2307 행하는 이는 영원히 거하느니라

17  And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever.

17    세상도, 세상의 정욕도 사라지지만 하나님(엘로힘)의 뜻을 행하는 자는 영원히 거하느니라.

18  Little children,³⁸¹³ it is²⁰⁷⁶ the last²⁰⁷⁸ time:⁵⁶¹⁰ and²⁵³² as²⁵³¹ ye have heard¹⁹¹ that³⁷⁵⁴ antichrist⁵⁰⁰ shall come,²⁰⁶⁴ even²⁵³² now³⁵⁶⁸ are¹⁰⁹⁶ there many⁴¹⁸³ antichrists;⁵⁰⁰ whereby³⁶⁰⁶ we know¹⁰⁹⁷ that³⁷⁵⁴ it is²⁰⁷⁶ the last²⁰⁷⁸ time.⁵⁶¹⁰

18  아이들아 이것이 마지막 때라 적그리스도가G500 이르겠다 함을 너희가 들은 것과 같이 지금도 많은 적그리스도가 일어났으니 이러므로 우리가 마지막 때인줄 아노라

18  Little children, it is the last time. And just as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have risen up, from which we know that it is the last hour.

18    어린 자녀들아, 이것이 마지막 때라. 적그리스도(적- 마쉬악이)가 올 것이라고 너희가 들었던 대로 지금도 많은 적그리스도(적-마쉬악이)가 일어났으니, 이로써 우리가 마지막 때인 줄 아느니라.

19  They went out¹⁸³¹ from¹⁵³⁷ us,²²⁵⁷ but²³⁵ they were²²⁵⁸ not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ us:²²⁵⁷ for¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ they had been²²⁵⁸ of¹⁵³⁷ us,²²⁵⁷ they would no doubt have continued^{3306, 302} with³³²⁶ us:²²⁵⁷ but²³⁵ they went out, that²⁴⁴³ they might be made manifest⁵³¹⁹ that³⁷⁵⁴ they were¹⁵²⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ all³⁹⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ us.²²⁵⁷

19  저희가 우리에게서 나갔으나 우리에게 속하지 아니하였나니 만일 우리에게 속하였더면 우리와 함께 거하였으려니와 저희가 나간 것은 다 우리에게 속하지 아니함을 나타내려 함이니라

19  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they were of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out so that it might be revealed that they were not all of us.

19  그들이 우리에게서 나갔으나 우리에게 속하지 아니하였나니, 만일 그들이 우리에게 속하였더라면 분명히 우리와 계속 함께 하였을 것이나 그들이 나감으로 우리 모두에게 속하지 아니함을 나타내었느니라.

20  But²⁵³² ye⁵²¹⁰ have²¹⁹² an unction⁵⁵⁴⁵ from⁵⁷⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ Holy One,⁴⁰ and²⁵³² ye know¹⁴⁹² all things.³⁹⁵⁶

20  너희는 거룩하신 자에게서 기름 부음을 받고 모든 것을 아느니라

20  But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

20  그러나 너희에게는 거룩하신 분으로부터 기름 부음이 있으니, 너희가 모든 것을 아느니라.

21  I have not³⁷⁵⁶ written¹¹²⁵ unto you⁵²¹³ because³⁷⁵⁴ ye know¹⁴⁹² not³⁷⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ truth,²²⁵ but²³⁵ because³⁷⁵⁴ ye know¹⁴⁹² it,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² that³⁷⁵⁴ no^{3956, 3756} lie⁵⁵⁷⁹ is²⁰⁷⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ truth.²²⁵

21  내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 너희가 진리를 알지 못함을 인함이 아니라 너희가 앎을 인함이요 또 모든 거짓은 진리에서 나지 않음을 인함이니라

21  I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and know that no lie is of the truth.

21  내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 너희가 진리를 알지 못하기 때문이 아니라, 너희가 진리를 알며 또 어떤 거짓말도 진리에서 나오지 아니하는 것을 알기 때문이라.

22  Who⁵¹⁰¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ a liar⁵⁵⁸³ but¹⁵⁰⁸ he that denieth⁷²⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ Jesus²⁴²⁴ is^{2076, (3756)} the³⁵⁸⁸ Christ?⁵⁵⁴⁷ He³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ antichrist,⁵⁰⁰ that denieth⁷²⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father³⁹⁶² and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ Son.⁵²⁰⁷

22  거짓말하는 자가 누구뇨 예수께서G2424 그리스도G5547이심을 부인하는 자가G720 아니뇨 아버지와 아들을 부인하는 그가 적그리스도니

22  Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He who denies the Father and the Son is antichrist.

22 예수(야슈아)께서 그리스도(마쉬악)이심을 부인하는 자 외에 누가 거짓말쟁이냐? 아버지와 아들을 부인하는 자가 곧 적그리스도(적-마쉬악이)니라.

23  Whosoever³⁹⁵⁶ denieth⁷²⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son,⁵²⁰⁷ the same hath²¹⁹² not³⁷⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father:³⁹⁶² but he that acknowledgeth³⁶⁷⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ hath²¹⁹² the³⁵⁸⁸ Father³⁹⁶² also.²⁵³²

23  아들을 부인하는 자에게는 또한 아버지가 없으되 아들을 시인하는 자에게는 아버지도 있느니라

23  Everyone who denies the Son neither has the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father.

23  누구든지 아들을 부인하는 자에게는 아버지가 없으나 아들을 시인하는 자에게는 아버지가 있느니라.

24  Let that therefore³⁷⁶⁷ abide³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² you,⁵²¹³ which ye⁵²¹⁰ have heard¹⁹¹ from⁵⁷⁵ the beginning.⁷⁴⁶ If¹⁴³⁷ that which³⁷³⁹ ye have heard¹⁹¹ from⁵⁷⁵ the beginning⁷⁴⁶ shall remain³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² you,⁵²¹³ ye⁵²¹⁰ also²⁵³² shall continue³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ Son,⁵²⁰⁷ and²⁵³² in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ Father.³⁹⁶²

24  너희는 처음부터 들은 것을 너희 안에 거하게 하라 처음부터 들은 것이 너희 안에 거하면 너희가 아들의 안과 아버지의 안에 거하리라

24  Therefore what you heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you will abide in both the Son and in the Father.

24   그러므로 너희는 처음부터 들은 것을 너희 안에 거하게 하라. 너희가 처음부터 들은 것이 너희 안에 있으면 너희도 아들 안에, 또 아버지 안에 계속 거하리라.

25  And²⁵³² this³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ promise¹⁸⁶⁰ that³⁷³⁹ he⁸⁴⁶ hath promised¹⁸⁶¹ us,²²⁵⁴ even eternal¹⁶⁶ life,²²²²

25  그가 우리에게 약속하신 약속이 이것이니 곧 영원한 생명이니라

25  And this is the promise that He has promised us: everlasting life.

25   그가 우리에게 약속하신 약속이 이것이니, 곧 영원한 생명이니라.

26  These⁵⁰²³ things have I written¹¹²⁵ unto you⁵²¹³ concerning⁴⁰¹² them that seduce⁴¹⁰⁵ you.⁵²⁰⁹

26  너희를 미혹케 하는 자들에 관하여 내가 이것을 너희에게 썼노라

26  These things I have written to you concerning those leading you astray.

26   너희를 미혹케 하는 자들에 관하여 내가 이런 것들을 너희에게 썼노라.

27  But²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ anointing⁵⁵⁴⁵ which³⁷³⁹ ye⁵²¹⁰ have received²⁹⁸³ of⁵⁷⁵ him⁸⁴⁶ abideth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² you,⁵²¹³ and²⁵³² ye need^{2192, 5532} not³⁷⁵⁶ that²⁴⁴³ any man⁵¹⁰⁰ teach¹³²¹ you:⁵²⁰⁹ but²³⁵ as⁵⁶¹³ the³⁵⁸⁸ same⁸⁴⁶ anointing⁵⁵⁴⁵ teacheth¹³²¹ you⁵²⁰⁹ of⁴⁰¹² all things,³⁹⁵⁶ and²⁵³² is²⁰⁷⁶ truth,²²⁷ and²⁵³² is²⁰⁷⁶ no³⁷⁵⁶ lie,⁵⁵⁷⁹ and²⁵³² even as²⁵³¹ it hath taught¹³²¹ you,⁵²⁰⁹ ye shall abide³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² him.⁸⁴⁶

27  너희는 주께 받은 바 기름 부음이 너희 안에 거하나니 아무도 너희를 가르칠 필요가 없고 오직 그의 기름 부음이 모든 것을 너희에게 가르치며 또 참되고 거짓이 없으니 너희를 가르치신 그대로 주 안에 거하라

27  But the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him.

27   너희가 그분께로부터 받은 기름부음이 너희 안에 거하나니, 아무도 너희를 가르칠 필요가 없고, 오히려 그 동일한 기름부음이 너희에게 모든 것을 가르치며, 또 그 기름부음은 진리요 거짓말이 아니니, 너희를 가르친 그대로 너희는 그분 안에 거할지니라.

28  And²⁵³² now,³⁵⁶⁸ little children,⁵⁰⁴⁰ abide³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² him;⁸⁴⁶ that,²⁴⁴³ when³⁷⁵² he shall appear,⁵³¹⁹ we may have²¹⁹² confidence,³⁹⁵⁴ and²⁵³² not³³⁶¹ be ashamed¹⁵³ before⁵⁷⁵ him⁸⁴⁶ at¹⁷²² his⁸⁴⁸ coming.³⁹⁵²

28  자녀들아 이제 그 안에 거하라 이는 주께서 나타내신 바 되면 그의 강림하실 때에 우리로 담대함을 얻어 그 앞에서 부끄럽지 않게 하려 함이라

28  And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He is revealed, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him in His coming.

28  어린 자녀들아, 이제 그 분 안에 거하라. 이는 그가 나타나실 때 우리가 담대함을 가지며, 그가 오실 때 그의 앞에서 수치를 당하지 않게 하려 함이라.

29  If¹⁴³⁷ ye know¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ he is²⁰⁷⁶ righteous,¹³⁴² ye know¹⁰⁹⁷ that³⁷⁵⁴ every one³⁹⁵⁶ that doeth⁴¹⁶⁰ righteousness¹³⁴³ is born¹⁰⁸⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ him.⁸⁴⁶

29  너희가 그의 의로우신 줄을 알면 의를 행하는 자마다 그에게서 난 줄을 알리라

29  If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who does righteousness has been born of Him.

29  만일 너희가 그분이 의로우신 것을 안다면, 의를 행하는 자는 누구나 그에게서 난 것을 아느니라.
