1  Forasmuch then³⁷⁶⁷ as Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ hath suffered³⁹⁵⁸ for⁵²²⁸ us²²⁵⁷ in the flesh,⁴⁵⁶¹ arm³⁶⁹⁵ yourselves⁵²¹⁰ likewise²⁵³² with the³⁵⁸⁸ same⁸⁴⁶ mind:¹⁷⁷¹ for³⁷⁵⁴ he that hath suffered³⁹⁵⁸ in¹⁷²² the flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ hath ceased³⁹⁷³ from sin;²⁶⁶

1  그리스도께서G5547 이미 육체의 고난을 받으셨으니 너희도 같은 마음으로 갑옷을 삼으라 이는 육체의 고난을 받은 자가 죄를 그쳤음이니

1  Therefore, Christ having suffered for us in the flesh, also you arm yourselves with the same thought, that he suffering in the flesh has been made to rest from sin,

1   그리스도(마쉬악)께서 그때 우리를 위하여 육체로 고난을 받으셨으니 너희도 같은 생각으로 무장하라. 이는 육체로 고난을 받은 자는 죄로부터 단절되었음이니

2  That he no longer³³⁷¹ should live⁹⁸⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ rest¹⁹⁵⁴ of his time⁵⁵⁵⁰ in¹⁷²² the flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ to the lusts¹⁹³⁹ of men,⁴⁴⁴ but²³⁵ to the will²³⁰⁷ of God.²³¹⁶

2  그 후로는 다시 사람의 정욕을 좇지 않고 오직 하나님의G2316 뜻을 좇아 육체의 남은 때를 살게 하려 함이라

2  in order no longer to live in the lusts of men, but in the will of God the remaining time in the flesh.

2   이는 그가 육체 안에서 자기의 남은 때를 더이상 사람의 정욕을 따라 살지 않고 하나님(야훼)의 뜻을 따라 살려 함이라.

3  For¹⁰⁶³ the time⁵⁵⁵⁰ past³⁹²⁸ of our life⁹⁷⁹ may suffice⁷¹³ us²²⁵⁴ to have wrought²⁷¹⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ will²³⁰⁷ of the³⁵⁸⁸ Gentiles,¹⁴⁸⁴ when we walked⁴¹⁹⁸ in¹⁷²² lasciviousness,⁷⁶⁶ lusts,¹⁹³⁹ excess of wine,³⁶³² revellings,²⁹⁷⁰ banquetings,⁴²²⁴ and²⁵³² abominable¹¹¹ idolatries:¹⁴⁹⁵

3  너희가 음란과 정욕과 술취함과 방탕과 연락과 무법한 우상 숭배를 하여 이방인의 뜻을 좇아 행한 것이 지나간 때가 족하도다

3  For the time of life which is past is enough for us to have worked out the will of the nations, having gone on in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, parties, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

3   우리가 음란과 정욕과 술취함과 방탕과 연락과 혐오스런 우상 숭배를 행하여 이방인들의 뜻을 행한 것은 지난 날의 생활로 충분하도다.

4  Wherein^{1722, 3739} they think it strange³⁵⁷⁹ that ye⁵²¹⁶ run not with^{4936, 3361} them to¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ same⁸⁴⁶ excess⁴⁰¹ of riot,⁸¹⁰ speaking evil of⁹⁸⁷ you:

4  이러므로 너희가 저희와 함께 그런 극한 방탕에 달음질하지 아니하는 것을 저희가 이상히 여겨 비방하나

4  In these things they are surprised, that you are not running with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming.

4  이방인들은 너희가 그들과 함께 같은 방탕에 휩쓸리지 않는 것을 이상하게 생각하고 너희를 비방하나

5  Who³⁷³⁹ shall give⁵⁹¹ account³⁰⁵⁶ to him that is²¹⁹² ready²⁰⁹³ to judge²⁹¹⁹ the quick²¹⁹⁸ and²⁵³² the dead.³⁴⁹⁸

5  저희가 산 자와 죽은 자 심판하기를 예비하신 자에게 직고하리라

5  But they shall give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

5  그들은 산 자들과 죽은 자들을 심판하시게 될 그 분께 설명하게 되리라.

6  For¹⁰⁶³ for¹⁵¹⁹ this cause⁵¹²⁴ was the gospel preached²⁰⁹⁷ also²⁵³² to them that are dead,³⁴⁹⁸ that²⁴⁴³ they might be judged^{2919 (3303)} according²⁵⁹⁶ to men⁴⁴⁴ in the flesh,⁴⁵⁶¹ but¹¹⁶¹ live²¹⁹⁸ according²⁵⁹⁶ to God²³¹⁶ in the spirit.⁴¹⁵¹

6  이를 위하여 죽은 자들에게도 복음이 전파되었으니 이는 육체로는 사람처럼 심판을 받으나 영으로는 하나님G2316처럼 살게 하려 함이니라

6  For to this end the gospel was preached also to the dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the Spirit.

6  이런 연유로 죽은 자들에게도 복음이 전파되었으니 이는 육체로는 사람과 일치하여 심판을 받으나 영으로는 하나님(야훼와)과 일치하여 살게 하려 함이니라.

7  But¹¹⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ end⁵⁰⁵⁶ of all things³⁹⁵⁶ is at hand:¹⁴⁴⁸ be ye therefore sober,^{4993, 3767} and²⁵³² watch³⁵²⁵ unto¹⁵¹⁹ prayer.⁴³³⁵

7  만물의 마지막이 가까왔으니 그러므로 너희는 정신을 차리고 근신하여 기도하라

7  But the end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be of sound mind, and be sensible to prayers.

7   만물의 마지막이 가까웠으니 그러므로 너희는 정신을 차리고 깨어 기도하라.

8  And¹¹⁶¹ above⁴²⁵³ all things³⁹⁵⁶ have²¹⁹² fervent¹⁶¹⁸ charity²⁶ among¹⁵¹⁹ yourselves:¹⁴³⁸ for³⁷⁵⁴ charity²⁶ shall cover²⁵⁷² the multitude⁴¹²⁸ of sins.²⁶⁶

8  무엇보다도 열심으로 서로 사랑할찌니 사랑은 허다한 죄를 덮느니라

8  And above all things have fervent love to yourselves, for love will cover a multitude of sins.

8  무엇보다 서로 뜨겁게 사랑하라. 이는 사랑이 허다한 죄들을 덮기 때문이니라.

9  Use hospitality⁵³⁸² one to another^{240, 1519} without⁴²⁷ grudging.¹¹¹²

9  서로 대접하기를 원망 없이하고

9  Be hospitable to one another, without grudging;

9    불평하지 말고 서로 대접하며

10  As²⁵³¹ every man¹⁵³⁸ hath received²⁹⁸³ the gift,⁵⁴⁸⁶ even so minister¹²⁴⁷ the same⁸⁴⁶ one to another,^{1519, 1438} as⁵⁶¹³ good²⁵⁷⁰ stewards³⁶²³ of the manifold⁴¹⁶⁴ grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ of God.²³¹⁶

10  각각 은사를 받은 대로 하나님의G2316 각양 은혜를 맡은 선한 청지기 같이 서로 봉사하라

10  each one as he received a gift, ministering it to yourselves as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

10  각 사람이 받은 은사 대로 하나님(야훼)의 다양한 은혜를 맡은 선한 청지기같이 서로 섬기라.

11  If any man¹⁵³⁶ speak,²⁹⁸⁰ let him speak as⁵⁶¹³ the oracles³⁰⁵¹ of God;²³¹⁶ if any man¹⁵³⁶ minister,¹²⁴⁷ let him do it as⁵⁶¹³ of¹⁵³⁷ the ability²⁴⁷⁹ which³⁷³⁹ God²³¹⁶ giveth:⁵⁵²⁴ that²⁴⁴³ God²³¹⁶ in¹⁷²² all things³⁹⁵⁶ may be glorified¹³⁹² through¹²²³ Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ to whom³⁷³⁹ be²⁰⁷⁶ praise¹³⁹¹ and²⁵³² dominion²⁹⁰⁴ forever and ever.^{1519, 165, 165} Amen.²⁸¹

11  만일 누가 말하려면 하나님의G2316 말씀을 하는 것같이 하고 누가 봉사하려면 하나님의G2316 공급하시는 힘으로 하는 것같이 하라 이는 범사에 예수G2424 그리스도G5547로 말미암아 하나님이G5547 영광을 받으시게 하려 함이니 그에게 영광과 권능이 세세에 무궁토록 있느니라 아멘

11  If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as of the ability which God gives, so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory, and the might forever and ever. Amen.

11    만일 누가 말하려거든 하나님(야훼)의 말씀처럼 말하고, 또 누가 섬기려거든 하나님(엘로힘)께서 공급하시는 능력으로 하는 것처럼 하라. 이는 모든 일에 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(마쉬악으)로 말미암아 하나님(엘로힘)께서 영광을 받으시게 하려 함이니, 그 분께 찬양과 권세가 영원 무궁토록 있느니라. 아멘.

12  Beloved,²⁷ think it not strange^{3579, 3361} concerning the³⁵⁸⁸ fiery trial⁴⁴⁵¹ which^{(1722, 5213)} is¹⁰⁹⁶ to try^{4314, 3986} you,⁵²¹³ as⁵⁶¹³ though some strange thing³⁵⁸¹ happened⁴⁸¹⁹ unto you:⁵²¹³

12  사랑하는 자들아 너희를 시련하려고 오는 불시험을 이상한 일 당하는 것같이 이상히 여기지 말고

12  Beloved, do not be astonished at the fiery trial which is to try you, as though a strange thing happened to you,

12   사랑하는 자들아, 너희를 연단시키려는 불 같은 시련에 관하여 너희에게 어떤 이상한 일이 일어나는 것처럼 이상하게 여기지 말고

13  But²³⁵ rejoice,⁵⁴⁶³ inasmuch as²⁵²⁶ ye are partakers²⁸⁴¹ of Christ's⁵⁵⁴⁷ sufferings;³⁸⁰⁴ that,²⁴⁴³ when¹⁷²² his⁸⁴⁶ glory¹³⁹¹ shall be revealed,⁶⁰² ye may be glad⁵⁴⁶³ also²⁵³² with exceeding joy.²¹

13  오직 너희가 그리스도의G5547 고난에 참예하는 것으로 즐거워하라 이는 그의 영광을 나타내실 때에 너희로 즐거워하고 기뻐하게 하려 함이라

13  but rejoice according as you are partakers of Christ's suffering, so that when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.

13  도리어 너희가 그리스도(마쉬악)의 고난에 참여하는 자들이 되는 것이니 즐거워하라. 이는 그의 영광이 나타나실 때에 너희도 큰 기쁨으로 즐거워하게 하려 함이니라.

14  If¹⁴⁸⁷ ye be reproached³⁶⁷⁹ for¹⁷²² the name³⁶⁸⁶ of Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ happy³¹⁰⁷ are ye; for³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ of glory¹³⁹¹ and²⁵³² of God²³¹⁶ resteth³⁷³ upon¹⁹⁰⁹ you:⁵²⁰⁹ on their part^{2596, 846} he⁽³³⁰³⁾ is evil spoken of,⁹⁸⁷ but¹¹⁶¹ on your part^{2596, 5209} he is glorified.¹³⁹²

14  너희가 그리스도의G5547 이름으로 욕을 받으면 복 있는 자로다 영광의 영 곧 하나님의G2316 영이 너희 위에 계심이라

14  If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you. Truly according to them, He is blasphemed, but according to you He is glorified.

14  너희가 그리스도(마쉬악)의 이름을 위하여 욕을 당하면 복이 있느니라. 이는 영광의 영 곧 하나님(엘로힘)의 영께서 너희 위에서 안식하고 계시기 때문이니라. 그들의 편에서는 그 분께서 비방을 당하시나 너희의 편에서는 영광을 받으시느니라.

15  But¹⁰⁶³ let none^{5100, 3361} of you⁵²¹⁶ suffer³⁹⁵⁸ as⁵⁶¹³ a murderer,⁵⁴⁰⁶ or²²²⁸ as a thief,²⁸¹² or²²²⁸ as an evildoer,²⁵⁵⁵ or²²²⁸ as⁵⁶¹³ a busybody in other men's matters.²⁴⁴

15  너희 중에 누구든지 살인이나 도적질이나 악행이나 남의 일을 간섭하는 자로 고난을 받지 말려니와

15  But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evildoer, or a meddler in the affairs of others.

15  너희 중에 누구도 살인자나 도둑이나 행악자나 다른 사람들의 일에 간섭하는 자처럼 고난을 당하지 않게 하라.

16  Yet¹¹⁶¹ if¹⁴⁸⁷ any man suffer as⁵⁶¹³ a Christian,⁵⁵⁴⁶ let him not³³⁶¹ be ashamed;¹⁵³ but¹¹⁶¹ let him glorify¹³⁹² God²³¹⁶ on¹⁷²² this⁵¹²⁹ behalf.³³¹³

16  만일 그리스도인G5546으로 고난을 받은즉 부끄러워 말고 도리어 그 이름으로 하나님께G2316 영광을 돌리라

16  But if one suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God because of this.

16  그러나 만일 너희가 그리스도(마쉬악 추종자)인으로서 고난을 당하면 부끄러워하지 말고 오히려 그 일로 인하여 하나님(엘로힘)께 영광을 돌리라.

17  For³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ time²⁵⁴⁰ is come that judgment²⁹¹⁷ must begin⁷⁵⁶ at⁵⁷⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ house³⁶²⁴ of God:²³¹⁶ and¹¹⁶¹ if¹⁴⁸⁷ it first⁴⁴¹² begin at⁵⁷⁵ us,²²⁵⁷ what⁵¹⁰¹ shall the³⁵⁸⁸ end⁵⁰⁵⁶ be of them that obey not⁵⁴⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ gospel²⁰⁹⁸ of God?²³¹⁶

17  하나님G2316 집에서 심판을 시작할 때가 되었나니 만일 우리에게 먼저하면 하나님의G2316 복음을 순종치 아니하는 자들의 그 마지막이 어떠하며

17  For the time has come for the judgment to begin from the house of God. And if it first begins from us, what will be the end of those disobeying the gospel of God?

17   이는 하나님(엘로힘)의 집에서 심판을 시작해야 할 때가 되었음이니 만일 그 심판이 우리에게서부터 먼저 시작되면 하나님(엘로힘)의 복음에 순종하지 않는 자들의 그 종말은 어떠하겠느냐?

18  And²⁵³² if¹⁴⁸⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ righteous¹³⁴² scarcely³⁴³³ be saved,⁴⁹⁸² where⁴²²⁶ shall the³⁵⁸⁸ ungodly⁷⁶⁵ and²⁵³² the sinner²⁶⁸ appear?⁵³¹⁶

18  또 의인이 겨우 구원을 얻으면 경건치 아니한 자와 죄인이 어디 서리요

18  And if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

18  만일 의인들이 겨우 구원을 받는다면 경건치 못한 자들과 그 죄인은 어디에 나타나겠느냐?

19  Wherefore⁵⁶²⁰ let⁽²⁵³²⁾ them that suffer³⁹⁵⁸ according²⁵⁹⁶ to the³⁵⁸⁸ will²³⁰⁷ of God²³¹⁶ commit the keeping of³⁹⁰⁸ their¹⁴³⁸ souls⁵⁵⁹⁰ to him in¹⁷²² well doing,¹⁶ as⁵⁶¹³ unto a faithful⁴¹⁰³ Creator.²⁹³⁹

19  그러므로 하나님의G2316 뜻대로 고난을 받는 자들은 또한 선을 행하는 가운데 그 영혼을 미쁘신 조물주께 부탁할찌어다

19  Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing, as to a faithful Creator.

19 그러므로 하나님(엘로힘)의 뜻에 따라 고난을 받는 사람들은 선을 행하면서, 신실하신 창조주께 그들의 혼을 지키시도록 맡길지어다.
