1  The elders⁴²⁴⁵ which³⁵⁸⁸ are among¹⁷²² you⁵²¹³ I exhort,³⁸⁷⁰ who am also an elder,⁴⁸⁵⁰ and²⁵³² a witness³¹⁴⁴ of the³⁵⁸⁸ sufferings³⁸⁰⁴ of Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ and²⁵³² also a partaker²⁸⁴⁴ of the glory¹³⁹¹ that shall³¹⁹⁵ be revealed:⁶⁰¹

1  너희 중 장로들에게 권하노니 나는 함께 장로된 자요 그리스도의G5547 고난의 증인이요 나타날 영광에 참예할 자로라

1  I exhort the elders who are among you, I being also an elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed.

1    내가 너희 가운데 있는 장로들에게 권하노니 나도 장로 된 자요, 그리스도(마쉬악)의 고난의 증인이며 또한 장차 나타나게 될 영광에 동참하게 될 자라.

2  Feed⁴¹⁶⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ flock⁴¹⁶⁸ of God²³¹⁶ which is among¹⁷²² you,⁵²¹³ taking the oversight¹⁹⁸³ thereof, not³³⁶¹ by constraint,³¹⁷ but²³⁵ willingly;¹⁵⁹⁶ not³³⁶⁶ for filthy lucre,¹⁴⁷ but²³⁵ of a ready mind;⁴²⁹⁰

2  너희 중에 있는 하나님의G2316 양 무리를 치되 부득이함으로 하지 말고 오직 하나님의G2316 뜻을 좇아 자원함으로 하며 더러운 이를 위하여 하지 말고 오직 즐거운 뜻으로 하며

2  Feed the flock of God among you, taking the oversight, not by compulsion, but willingly; nor for base gain, but readily;

2  너희 가운데 있는 하나님(엘로힘)의 양 무리를 치고 돌보되 마지못하여 하지 말고 자원함으로 하며 더러운 이익을 위하여 하지 말고 준비된 마음으로 하며

3  Neither³³⁶⁶ as⁵⁶¹³ being lords over²⁶³⁴ God's heritage,²⁸¹⁹ but²³⁵ being¹⁰⁹⁶ examples⁵¹⁷⁹ to the³⁵⁸⁸ flock.⁴¹⁶⁸

3  맡기운 자들에게 주장하는 자세를 하지 말고 오직 양 무리의 본이 되라

3  nor as lording it over those allotted to you by God, but becoming examples to the flock.

3  하나님(엘로힘)께서 맡겨 주신 자들을 지배하려 하지 말고 오직 양 무리의 본이 되라.

4  And²⁵³² when the³⁵⁸⁸ chief Shepherd⁷⁵⁰ shall appear,⁵³¹⁹ ye shall receive²⁸⁶⁵ a crown⁴⁷³⁵ of glory¹³⁹¹ that fadeth not away.²⁶²

4  그리하면 목자장이 나타나실 때에 시들지 아니하는 영광의 면류관을 얻으리라

4  And when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.

4  그리하면 목자장이 나타나실 때 너희가 시들지 않는 영광의 면류관을 받으리라.

5  Likewise,³⁶⁶⁸ ye younger,³⁵⁰¹ submit yourselves⁵²⁹³ unto the elder.⁴²⁴⁵ Yea,¹¹⁶¹ all³⁹⁵⁶ of you be subject⁵²⁹³ one to another,²⁴⁰ and²⁵³² be clothed with¹⁴⁶³ humility:⁵⁰¹² for³⁷⁵⁴ God²³¹⁶ resisteth⁴⁹⁸ the proud,⁵²⁴⁴ and¹¹⁶¹ giveth¹³²⁵ grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ to the humble.⁵⁰¹¹

5  젊은 자들아 이와 같이 장로들에게 순복하고 다 서로 겸손으로 허리를 동이라 하나님이G2316 교만한 자를 대적하시되 겸손한 자들에게는 은혜를 주시느니라

5  Likewise, younger ones, be subject to older ones, and all being subject to one another. Put on humility. For God resists proud ones, but He gives grace to the humble.

5  이와 같이 너희 젊은이들아, 장로에게 복종하라. 너희 모두가 서로 복종하고 겸손함으로 옷 입으라. 이는 하나님(엘로힘)께서 교만한 자들을 대적하시고 겸손한 자들에게 은혜를 주심이니라.

6  Humble yourselves⁵⁰¹³ therefore³⁷⁶⁷ under⁵²⁵⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ mighty²⁹⁰⁰ hand⁵⁴⁹⁵ of God,²³¹⁶ that²⁴⁴³ he may exalt⁵³¹² you⁵²⁰⁹ in¹⁷²² due time:²⁵⁴⁰

6  그러므로 하나님의G2316 능하신 손 아래서 겸손하라 때가 되면 너희를 높이시리라

6  Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time,

6  그러므로 하나님(엘로힘)의 능하신 손 아래서 겸손하라. 때가 되면 그 분께서 너희를 높이시리라.

7  Casting¹⁹⁷⁷ all³⁹⁵⁶ your⁵²¹⁶ care³³⁰⁸ upon¹⁹⁰⁹ him;⁸⁴⁶ for³⁷⁵⁴ he⁸⁴⁶ careth³¹⁹⁹ for⁴⁰¹² you.⁵²¹⁶

7  너희 염려를 다 주(그분)께 맡겨 버리라 이는 저가 너희를 권고하심이니라

7  casting all your anxiety onto Him, for He cares for you.

7    너희의 염려를 다 하나님(그분)께 맡기라. 이는 그 분께서 너희를 돌보심이니라.

8  Be sober,³⁵²⁵ be vigilant;¹¹²⁷ because³⁷⁵⁴ your⁵²¹⁶ adversary⁴⁷⁶ the devil,¹²²⁸ as⁵⁶¹³ a roaring⁵⁶¹² lion,³⁰²³ walketh about,⁴⁰⁴³ seeking²²¹² whom⁵¹⁰¹ he may devour:²⁶⁶⁶

8  근신하라 깨어라 너희 대적 마귀가 우는 사자같이 두루 다니며 삼킬 자를 찾나니

8  Be sensible and vigilant, because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour;

8  정신을 차리고 깨어 있으라. 이는 너희의 대적 마귀가 울부짖는 사자처럼 삼킬 자를 찾아 두루 다니기 때문이니라.

9  Whom³⁷³⁹ resist⁴³⁶ steadfast⁴⁷³¹ in the³⁵⁸⁸ faith,⁴¹⁰² knowing¹⁴⁹² that the³⁵⁸⁸ same⁸⁴⁶ afflictions³⁸⁰⁴ are accomplished²⁰⁰⁵ in your⁵²¹⁶ brethren⁸¹ that are in¹⁷²² the world.²⁸⁸⁹

9  너희는 믿음을 굳게 하여 저를 대적하라 이는 세상에 있는 너희 형제들도 동일한 고난을 당하는 줄을 앎이니라

9  whom firmly resist in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions in the world are being completed in your brotherhood.

9    믿음 안에 굳게 서서 그를 대적하라. 이는 세상에 있는 너희 형제들도 동일한 고난을 당하는 줄을 앎이니라.

10  But¹¹⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ God²³¹⁶ of all³⁹⁵⁶ grace,⁵⁴⁸⁵ who hath called²⁵⁶⁴ us²²⁴⁸ unto¹⁵¹⁹ his⁸⁴⁸ eternal¹⁶⁶ glory¹³⁹¹ by¹⁷²² Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ Jesus,²⁴²⁴ after that ye have suffered³⁹⁵⁸ a while,³⁶⁴¹ make you perfect,^{2675, 5209} establish,⁴⁷⁴¹ strengthen,⁴⁵⁹⁹ settle²³¹¹ you.

10  모든 은혜의 하나님G2316 곧 그리스도G5547 안에서 너희를 부르사 자기의 영원한 영광에 들어가게 하신 이가 잠간 고난을 받은 너희를 친히 온전케 하시며 굳게 하시며 강하게 하시며 터를 견고케 하시리라

10  But the God of all grace, He calling us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, He will perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

10  그러나 모든 은혜의 하나님(엘로힘), 곧 그리스도(마쉬악H4899) 예수(야슈아)로 인하여 그의 영원한 영광으로 우리를 부르신 분께서, 너희가 잠깐 고난을 받은 후에 너희를 온전케 하시고, 견고케 하시며, 힘을 주시고, 확고히 하시느니라.

11  To him⁸⁴⁶ be glory¹³⁹¹ and²⁵³² dominion²⁹⁰⁴ forever and ever.^{1519, 165, 165} Amen.²⁸¹

11  권력이 세세무궁토록 그에게 있을찌어다 아멘

11  To Him be the glory and the might forever and ever. Amen.

11    그 분께 영광과 권세가 영원 무궁토록 있을지어다. 아멘.

12  By¹²²³ Silvanus,⁴⁶¹⁰ a faithful⁴¹⁰³ brother⁸⁰ unto you,⁵²¹³ as⁵⁶¹³ I suppose,³⁰⁴⁹ I have written¹¹²⁵ briefly,^{1223, 3641} exhorting,³⁸⁷⁰ and²⁵³² testifying¹⁹⁵⁷ that this⁵⁰²⁶ is¹⁵¹¹ the true²²⁷ grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ of God²³¹⁶ wherein^{1519, 3739} ye stand.²⁴⁷⁶

12  내가 신실한 형제로 아는 실루아노로 말미암아 너희에게 간단히 써서 권하고 이것이 하나님의G2316 참된 은혜임을 증거하노니 너희는 이 은혜에 굳게 서라

12  I wrote to you through a few words, by Silvanus, a faithful brother to you, as I suppose, exhorting and testifying this to be the true grace of God in which you stand.

12    신실한 형제 실루아노를 통하여 내가 생각했던 대로 너희에게 간단히 썼노라. 이것이 하나님(엘로힘)의 참된 은혜임을 권고하고 증거하노니 너희는 그 안에 서 있느니라.

13  The³⁵⁸⁸ church that is at¹⁷²² Babylon,⁸⁹⁷ elected together with⁴⁸⁹⁹ you, saluteth⁷⁸² you;⁵²⁰⁹ and²⁵³² so doth Mark³¹³⁸ my³⁴⁵⁰ son.⁵²⁰⁷

13  함께 택하심을 받은 바벨론에 있는 교회가 너희에게 문안하고 내아들 마가도 그리하느니라

13  The fellow-elected in Babylon greet you; also Mark my son.

13  너희와 함께 택함을 받은 바빌론에 있는 교회와 내 아들 마르코도 너희에게 문안하느니라.

14  Greet⁷⁸² ye one another²⁴⁰ with¹⁷²² a kiss⁵³⁷⁰ of charity.²⁶ Peace¹⁵¹⁵ be with you⁵²¹³ all³⁹⁵⁶ that³⁵⁸⁸ are in¹⁷²² Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ Jesus.²⁴²⁴ Amen.²⁸¹

14  너희는 사랑의 입맞춤으로 피차 문안하라 그리스도 안에 있는 너희 모든 이에게 평강이 있을찌어다

14  Greet one another with a kiss of holy love. Peace be to you, all those in Christ Jesus. Amen.
