1  Let as many³⁷⁴⁵ servants¹⁴⁰¹ as are¹⁵²⁶ under⁵²⁵⁹ the yoke²²¹⁸ count²²³³ their own²³⁹⁸ masters¹²⁰³ worthy⁵¹⁴ of all³⁹⁵⁶ honor,⁵⁰⁹² that²⁴⁴³ the³⁵⁸⁸ name³⁶⁸⁶ of God²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² his doctrine¹³¹⁹ be not³³⁶¹ blasphemed.⁹⁸⁷

1  무릇 멍에 아래 있는 종들은 자기 상전들을 범사에 마땅히 공경할 자로 알지니 이는 하나님의G2316 이름과 교훈으로 훼방을 받지 않게 하려 함이라

1  Let as many slaves as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name and doctrine of God may not be blasphemed.

1 멍에 아래 있는 모든 종은 자기 주인들을 모든 공경을 받을 자로 여기라. 이는 하나님(엘로힘)의 이름과 그 분의 교리가 모독을 받지 않게 하려는 것이라.

2  And¹¹⁶¹ they that have²¹⁹² believing⁴¹⁰³ masters,¹²⁰³ let them not³³⁶¹ despise²⁷⁰⁶ them, because³⁷⁵⁴ they are¹⁵²⁶ brethren;⁸⁰ but²³⁵ rather³¹²³ do them service,¹³⁹⁸ because³⁷⁵⁴ they are¹⁵²⁶ faithful⁴¹⁰³ and²⁵³² beloved,²⁷ partakers⁴⁸² of the³⁵⁸⁸ benefit.²¹⁰⁸ These things⁵⁰²³ teach¹³²¹ and²⁵³² exhort.³⁸⁷⁰

2  믿는 상전이 있는 자들은 그 상전을 형제라고 경히 여기지 말고 더 잘 섬기게 하라 이는 유익을 받는 자들이 믿는 자요 사랑을 받는 자임이니라 너는 이것들을 가르치고 권하라

2  And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brothers. But rather let them serve, because they are faithful and beloved, those of the good service receiving in return. Teach and exhort these things.

2  믿는 주인을 섬기는 자들도 그들이 형제라고 해서 경히 여기지 말고 오히려 더욱 잘 섬겨야 하리니, 이는 그들이 신실하고 사랑받는 자들이며, 선한 일에 동참하는 자들이기 때문이라. 이러한 것들을 가르치고 권면하라.

3  If any man¹⁵³⁶ teach otherwise,²⁰⁸⁵ and²⁵³² consent⁴³³⁴ not³³⁶¹ to wholesome⁵¹⁹⁸ words,³⁰⁵⁶ even the words³⁵⁸⁸ of our²²⁵⁷ Lord²⁹⁶² Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ and²⁵³² to the³⁵⁸⁸ doctrine¹³¹⁹ which is according²⁵⁹⁶ to godliness;²¹⁵⁰

3  누구든지 다른 교훈을 하며 바른 말 곧 우리 주G2962 예수G2424 그리스도의G5547 말씀과 경건에 관한 교훈에 착념치 아니 하면

3  If anyone teaches otherwise, and does not consent to wholesome words (those of our Lord Jesus Christ), and to the doctrine according to godliness,

3  만일 누군가가 다르게 가르치며 건전한 말씀, 곧 우리 주(아도나이H136) 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악H4899)의 말씀과 경건에 따른 교리에 일치하지 아니하면

4  He is proud,⁵¹⁸⁷ knowing¹⁹⁸⁷ nothing,³³⁶⁷ but²³⁵ doting³⁵⁵² about⁴⁰¹² questions²²¹⁴ and²⁵³² strifes of words,³⁰⁵⁵ whereof^{1537, 3739} cometh¹⁰⁹⁶ envy,⁵³⁵⁵ strife,²⁰⁵⁴ railings,⁹⁸⁸ evil⁴¹⁹⁰ surmisings.⁵²⁸³

4  저는 교만하여 아무 것도 알지 못하고 변론과 언쟁을 좋아하는 자니 이로써 투기와 분쟁과 훼방과 악한 생각이 나며

4  he is proud, knowing nothing. He is sick concerning doubts and arguments, from which comes envy, strife, evil speakings, evil suspicions,

4  그는 교만해서 아무것도 아는 것이 없고 다만 질문과 언쟁만을 좋아하는 자니, 거기서 시기와 다툼과 악담과 사악한 의심이 생겨나며

5  Perverse disputings³⁸⁵⁹ of men⁴⁴⁴ of corrupt¹³¹¹ minds,³⁵⁶³ and²⁵³² destitute⁶⁵⁰ of the³⁵⁸⁸ truth,²²⁵ supposing³⁵⁴³ that gain⁴²⁰⁰ is¹⁵¹¹ godliness:²¹⁵⁰ from⁵⁷⁵ such⁵¹⁰⁸ withdraw thyself.⁸⁶⁸

5  마음이 부패하여지고 진리를 잃어버려 경건을 이익의 재료로 생각하는 자들의 다툼이 일어나느니라

5  meddling, of men whose minds have been corrupted and deprived of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness. Withdraw from such.

5   마음이 부패하고, 진리를 상실하며, 이익이 경건이라 생각하는 사람들 사이에 무익한 논쟁이 일어나느니라. 그런 데서 네 자신은 빠져나오라.

6  But¹¹⁶¹ godliness²¹⁵⁰ with³³²⁶ contentment⁸⁴¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ great³¹⁷³ gain.⁴²⁰⁰

6  그러나 지족하는 마음이 있으면 경건이 큰 이익이 되느니라

6  But godliness with contentment is great gain.

6  그러나 만족할 줄 아는 경건은 큰 이익이 되느니라.

7  For¹⁰⁶³ we brought¹⁵³³ nothing³⁷⁶² into¹⁵¹⁹ this world,²⁸⁸⁹ and it is certain^{1212 (3754)} we⁽³⁷⁶¹⁾ can¹⁴¹⁰ carry nothing out.^{1627, 5100}

7  우리가 세상에 아무것도 가지고 온 것이 없으매 또한 아무것도 가지고 가지 못하리니

7  For we brought nothing into the world, and it is clear that we can carry nothing out.

7   우리가 세상에 아무것도 가지고 온 것이 없으며 아무것도 가지고 갈 수 없는 것이 분명하니

8  And¹¹⁶¹ having²¹⁹² food¹³⁰⁵ and²⁵³² raiment⁴⁶²⁹ let us be therewith content.^{714, 5125}

8  우리가 먹을 것과 입을 것이 있은즉 족한 줄로 알 것이니라

8  But having food and clothing, we will be content.

8  우리에게 먹을 것과 입을 것이 있으면 이것들로 만족할 것이니라.

9  But¹¹⁶¹ they that will¹⁰¹⁴ be rich⁴¹⁴⁷ fall¹⁷⁰⁶ into¹⁵¹⁹ temptation³⁹⁸⁶ and²⁵³² a snare,³⁸⁰³ and²⁵³² into many⁴¹⁸³ foolish⁴⁵³ and²⁵³² hurtful⁹⁸³ lusts,¹⁹³⁹ which³⁷⁴⁸ drown¹⁰³⁶ men⁴⁴⁴ in¹⁵¹⁹ destruction³⁶³⁹ and²⁵³² perdition.⁶⁸⁴

9  부하려 하는 자들은 시험과 올무와 여러가지 어리석고 해로운 정욕에 떨어지나니 곧 사람으로 침륜과 멸망에 빠지게 하는 것이라

9  But they who will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which plunge men into destruction and perdition.

9   그러나 부유하게 되고자 하는 자들은 유혹과 올무와 여러 가지 어리석고 해로운 정욕에 빠지리니, 이는 사람들로 파멸과 멸망에 빠지게 하는 것이라.

10  For¹⁰⁶³ the³⁵⁸⁸ love of money⁵³⁶⁵ is²⁰⁷⁶ the root⁴⁴⁹¹ of all³⁹⁵⁶ evil:²⁵⁵⁶ which³⁷³⁹ while some⁵¹⁰⁰ coveted after,³⁷¹³ they have erred⁶³⁵ from⁵⁷⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ faith,⁴¹⁰² and²⁵³² pierced themselves through^{4044, 1438} with many⁴¹⁸³ sorrows.³⁶⁰¹

10  돈을 사랑함이 일만 악의 뿌리가 되나니 이것을 사모하는 자들이 미혹을 받아 믿음에서 떠나 많은 근심으로써 자기를 찔렀도다

10  For the love of money is a root of all evils, of which some having lusted after, they were seduced from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

10  돈을 사랑하는 것이 모든 악의 뿌리니, 이것을 욕심내는 어떤 사람들이 믿음에서 떠나 방황하다가 많은 슬픔으로 자신들을 찔렀도다.

11  But¹¹⁶¹ thou,⁴⁷⁷¹ O⁵⁵⁹⁹ man⁴⁴⁴ of God,²³¹⁶ flee⁵³⁴³ these things;⁵⁰²³ and¹¹⁶¹ follow after¹³⁷⁷ righteousness,¹³⁴³ godliness,²¹⁵⁰ faith,⁴¹⁰² love,²⁶ patience,⁵²⁸¹ meekness.⁴²³⁶

11  오직 너 하나님의G2316 사람아 이것들을 피하고 의와 경건과 믿음과 사랑과 인내와 온유를 좇으며

11  But you, O man of God, flee these things and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.

11 그러나, 오, 하나님(엘로힘)의 사람인 너는 이것들을 피하라. 그리고 의와 경건과 믿음과 사랑과 인내와 온유를 추구하라.

12  Fight⁷⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ good²⁵⁷⁰ fight⁷³ of faith,⁴¹⁰² lay hold on¹⁹⁴⁹ eternal¹⁶⁶ life,²²²² whereunto^{1519, 3739} thou art also²⁵³² called,²⁵⁶⁴ and²⁵³² hast professed³⁶⁷⁰ a good²⁵⁷⁰ profession³⁶⁷¹ before¹⁷⁹⁹ many⁴¹⁸³ witnesses.³¹⁴⁴

12  믿음의 선한 싸움을 싸우라 영생을 취하라 이를 위하여 네가 부르심을 입었고 많은 증인 앞에서 선한 증거를 증거하였도다

12  Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, to which you are also called and have professed a good profession before many witnesses.

12  믿음의 선한 싸움을 싸우라. 영원한 생명을 붙잡으라. 이를 위하여 네가 또한 부르심을 받았고, 많은 증인들 앞에서 선한 고백으로 고백하였느니라.

13  I give thee charge^{3853, 4671} in the sight¹⁷⁹⁹ of God,²³¹⁶ who quickeneth²²²⁷ all things,³⁹⁵⁶ and²⁵³² before Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ Jesus,²⁴²⁴ who before¹⁹⁰⁹ Pontius⁴¹⁹⁴ Pilate⁴⁰⁹¹ witnessed³¹⁴⁰ a good²⁵⁷⁰ confession;³⁶⁷¹

13  만물을 살게 하신 하나님G2316 앞과 본디오 빌라도를 향하여 선한 증거로 증거하신 그리스도G5547 예수G2424 앞에서 내가 너를 명하노니

13  I charge you before God (who makes all things alive) and in the sight of Christ Jesus (who witnessed the good confession to Pontius Pilate),

13   만물을 살리시는 하나님(엘로힘) 앞에서와 폰티오 빌라도 앞에서 선한 고백으로 증거하셨던 그리스도(마쉬악) 예수(야슈아) 앞에서 내가 너에게 명하노니,

14  That thou⁴⁵⁷¹ keep⁵⁰⁸³ this commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ without spot,⁷⁸⁴ unrebukable,⁴²³ until³³⁶⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ appearing²⁰¹⁵ of our²²⁵⁷ Lord²⁹⁶² Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ:⁵⁵⁴⁷

14  우리 주G2962 예수G2424 그리스도G5547 나타나실 때까지 점도 없고 책망 받을 것도 없이 이 명령을 지키라

14  that you keep the commandment without spot and without blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.

14  우리 주(아도나이) 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)께서 나타나실 때까지 흠 없고 책망받을 것도 없이 이 명령을 지키라.

15  Which³⁷³⁹ in his²³⁹⁸ times²⁵⁴⁰ he shall show,¹¹⁶⁶ who is the³⁵⁸⁸ blessed³¹⁰⁷ and²⁵³² only³⁴⁴¹ Potentate,¹⁴¹³ the³⁵⁸⁸ King⁹³⁵ of kings,⁹³⁶ and²⁵³² Lord²⁹⁶² of lords;²⁹⁶¹

15  기약이 이르면 하나님(그분)이 그의 나타나심을 보이시리니 하나님(그분께서는)은 복되시고 홀로 한 분이신 능하신 자이며 만왕의 왕이시며 만주G2962의 주시요G2962

15  For He in His own time will reveal who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

15 자기 때가 되면 주(그분)께서 나타나시리니, 그분은 복되시고 유일하신 통치자시요, 만왕의 왕이시며 만주(아도나이)의 주(아도나이)시라.

16  Who³⁵⁸⁸ only³⁴⁴¹ hath²¹⁹² immortality,¹¹⁰ dwelling³⁶¹¹ in the light⁵⁴⁵⁷ which no man can approach unto;⁶⁷⁶ whom³⁷³⁹ no³⁷⁶² man⁴⁴⁴ hath seen,¹⁴⁹² nor³⁷⁶¹ can¹⁴¹⁰ see:¹⁴⁹² to whom³⁷³⁹ be honor⁵⁰⁹² and²⁵³² power²⁹⁰⁴ everlasting.¹⁶⁶ Amen.²⁸¹

16  오직 그에게만 죽지 아니함이 있고 가까이 가지 못할 빛에 거하시고 아무 사람도 보지 못하였고 또 볼 수 없는 자시니 그에게 존귀와 영원한 능력을 돌릴지어다 아멘

16  who alone has immortality, dwelling in light which cannot be approached, whom no one of men have seen, nor can see; to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen.

16  오직 그분만이 불멸하시며, 어떤 사람도 접근할 수 없는 빛 가운데 거하시며, 어떤 사람도 보지 못하였고 또 볼 수도 없는 분이시니, 그 분께 영원한 존귀와 능력이 있기를 원하노라. 아멘.

17  Charge³⁸⁵³ them that are rich⁴¹⁴⁵ in¹⁷²² this world,^{3568, 165} that they be not highminded;^{5309, 3361} nor³³⁶⁶ trust¹⁶⁷⁹ in¹⁹⁰⁹ uncertain⁸³ riches,⁴¹⁴⁹ but²³⁵ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ living²¹⁹⁸ God,²³¹⁶ who giveth³⁹³⁰ us²²⁵⁴ richly⁴¹⁴⁶ all things³⁹⁵⁶ to¹⁵¹⁹ enjoy;⁶¹⁹

17  네가 이 세대에 부한 자들을 명하여 마음을 높이지 말고 정함이 없는 재물에 소망을 두지 말고 오직 우리에게 모든 것을 후히 주사 누리게 하시는 하나님께G2316 두며

17  Charge the rich in this world that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, He offering to us richly all things to enjoy,

17  이 세상에 있는 부유한 자들에게 명하여 마음이 교만해지지 말고 불확실한 재물에 소망을 두지 말며, 오직 우리에게 모든 것을 풍요하게 주셔서 향유케 하시는 살아 계신 하나(엘로힘)님께 두라고 하라.

18  That they do good,¹⁴ that they be rich⁴¹⁴⁷ in¹⁷²² good²⁵⁷⁰ works,^{2041, (1511)} ready to distribute,²¹³⁰ willing to communicate;²⁸⁴³

18  선한 일을 행하고 선한 사업에 부하고 나눠주기를 좋아하며 동정하는 자가 되게 하라

18  that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to share, to be generous,

18  곧 그들이 선을 행하고, 선한 일에 부요하며, 기꺼이 나누어 주고, 아낌없이 베풂으로써,

19  Laying up in store⁵⁹⁷ for themselves¹⁴³⁸ a good²⁵⁷⁰ foundation²³¹⁰ against¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ time to come,³¹⁹⁵ that²⁴⁴³ they may lay hold on¹⁹⁴⁹ eternal¹⁶⁶ life.²²²²

19  이것이 장래에 자기를 위하여 좋은 터를 쌓아 참된 생명을 취하는 것이니라

19  laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

19  자신들을 위하여 오는 때를 대비한 좋은 기초를 쌓도록 하라. 이는 영원한 생명을 취하기 위함이라.

20  O⁵⁵⁹⁹ Timothy,⁵⁰⁹⁵ keep⁵⁴⁴² that which is committed to thy trust,³⁸⁷² avoiding¹⁶²⁴ profane⁹⁵² and vain babblings,²⁷⁵⁷ and²⁵³² oppositions⁴⁷⁷ of science¹¹⁰⁸ falsely so called:⁵⁵⁸¹

20  디모데야 네게 부탁한 것을 지키고 거짓되이 일컫는 지식의 망령되고 허한 말과 변론을 피하라

20  O Timothy, guard the Deposit, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of falsely-named science,

20   오 디모데야, 네게 맡겨진 것을 지키고, 비속하고 허황된 말장난과 거짓되이 일컬어지는 과학의 반론을 피하라.

21  Which³⁷³⁹ some⁵¹⁰⁰ professing¹⁸⁶¹ have erred⁷⁹⁵ concerning⁴⁰¹² the³⁵⁸⁸ faith.⁴¹⁰² Grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ be with³³²⁶ thee.⁴⁶⁷⁵ Amen.²⁸¹

21  이것을 좇는 사람들이 있어 믿음에서 벗어났느니라 은혜가 너희와 함께 있을지어다

21  which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

21 이것을 공언하는 어떤 사람이 믿음에 관해서는 정도를 벗어났느니라. 은혜가 너희와 함께 있을지어다. 아멘.
