1  Stand fast⁴⁷³⁹ therefore³⁷⁶⁷ in the³⁵⁸⁸ liberty¹⁶⁵⁷ wherewith³⁷³⁹ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ hath made us free,^{1659, 2248} and²⁵³² be not³³⁶¹ entangled again with^{1758, 3825} the yoke²²¹⁸ of bondage.¹³⁹⁷

1  그리스도께서G5547 우리로 자유케 하려고 자유를 주셨으니 그러므로 굳세게 서서 다시는 종의 멍에를 메지 말라

1  Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and do not again be held with the yoke of bondage.

1    그러므로 그리스도(마쉬악)께서 우리를 자유케 하셨으니 자유 안에 굳게 서서 다시는 종의 멍에를 메지 말라.

2  Behold,²³⁹⁶ I¹⁴⁷³ Paul³⁹⁷² say³⁰⁰⁴ unto you,⁵²¹³ that³⁷⁵⁴ if¹⁴³⁷ ye be circumcised,⁴⁰⁵⁹ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ shall profit⁵⁶²³ you⁵²⁰⁹ nothing.³⁷⁶²

2  보라 나 바울은 너희에게 말하노니 너희가 만일 할례를 받으면 그리스도께서G5547 너희에게 아무 유익이 없으리라

2  Behold, I, Paul, say to you that if you are circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

2    보라, 나 바울이 너희에게 말하노니, 만일 너희가 할례를 받으면 그리스도(마쉬악)께서 너희에게 아무 유익이 되지 못하리라.

3  For¹¹⁶¹ I testify³¹⁴³ again³⁸²⁵ to every³⁹⁵⁶ man⁴⁴⁴ that is circumcised,⁴⁰⁵⁹ that³⁷⁵⁴ he is²⁰⁷⁶ a debtor³⁷⁸¹ to do⁴¹⁶⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ whole³⁶⁵⁰ law.³⁵⁵¹

3  내가 할례를 받는 각 사람에게 다시 증거하노니 그는 율법 전체를 행할 의무를 가진 자라

3  For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do all the Law,

3    내가 할례받은 모든 사람에게 다시 증거하노니 그는 온 율법을 행할 의무가 있는 자라.

4  Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ is become of no effect²⁶⁷³ unto you, whosoever³⁷⁴⁸ of you are justified¹³⁴⁴ by¹⁷²² the law;³⁵⁵¹ ye are fallen¹⁶⁰¹ from grace.⁵⁴⁸⁵

4  율법 안에서 의롭다 함을 얻으려 하는 너희는 그리스도에게서G5547 끊어지고 은혜에서 떨어진 자로다

4  you who are justified by Law are deprived of all effect from Christ; you fell from grace.

4    율법으로 의롭게 된 너희는 누구든지 그리스도가(마쉬악께서) 무용하게 되고 은혜로부터는 떨어져 나갔느니라.

5  For¹⁰⁶³ we²²⁴⁹ through the Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ wait for⁵⁵³ the hope¹⁶⁸⁰ of righteousness¹³⁴³ by¹⁵³⁷ faith.⁴¹⁰²

5  우리가 성령으로 믿음을 좇아 의의 소망을 기다리노니

5  For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness out of faith.

5    이는 우리가 성령을 통하여 믿음으로 말미암아 의의 소망을 기다림이라.

6  For¹⁰⁶³ in¹⁷²² Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ neither³⁷⁷⁷ circumcision⁴⁰⁶¹ availeth²⁴⁸⁰ any thing,⁵¹⁰⁰ nor³⁷⁷⁷ uncircumcision;²⁰³ but²³⁵ faith⁴¹⁰² which worketh¹⁷⁵⁴ by¹²²³ love.²⁶

6  그리스도 예수G2424 안에서는 할례나 무할례가 효력이 없되 사랑으로써 역사하는 믿음 뿐이니라

6  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any strength, but faith working through love.

6   예수(야슈아) 그리스도(마쉬악) 안에서는 할례나 무할례가 쓸모없고 오직 사랑으로 역사하는 믿음뿐이니라.

7  Ye did run⁵¹⁴³ well;²⁵⁷³ who⁵¹⁰¹ did hinder³⁴⁸ you⁵²⁰⁹ that ye should not³³⁶¹ obey³⁹⁸² the³⁵⁸⁸ truth?²²⁵

7  너희가 달음질을 잘 하더니 누가 너희를 막아 진리를 순종치 않게 하더냐

7  You were running well. Who hindered you that you do not obey the truth?

7  너희가 잘 달려가고 있더니 누가 너희를 진리에 순종하지 못하도록 막더냐?

8  This persuasion³⁹⁸⁸ cometh not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ him that calleth²⁵⁶⁴ you.⁵²⁰⁹

8  그 권면이 너희를 부르신 이에게서 난 것이 아니라

8  This persuasion is not from Him who calls you.

8  이러한 권면은 너희를 부르시는 이에게서 나온 것이 아니니라.

9  A little³³⁹⁸ leaven²²¹⁹ leaveneth²²²⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ whole³⁶⁵⁰ lump.⁵⁴⁴⁵

9  적은 누룩이 온 덩이에 퍼지느니라

9  A little leaven leavens all the lump.

9   적은 누룩이 온 반죽을 부풀게 하느니라.

10  I¹⁴⁷³ have confidence³⁹⁸² in¹⁵¹⁹ you⁵²⁰⁹ through¹⁷²² the Lord,²⁹⁶² that³⁷⁵⁴ ye will be none otherwise minded:^{5426, 3762, 243} but¹¹⁶¹ he that troubleth⁵⁰¹⁵ you⁵²⁰⁹ shall bear⁹⁴¹ his judgment,²⁹¹⁷ whosoever^{3748, 302} he be.⁵⁶⁰⁰

10  나는 너희가 아무 다른 마음도 품지 아니할 줄을 주G2962 안에서 확신하노라 그러나 너희를 요동케 하는 자는 누구든지 심판을 받으리라

10  I have confidence in you in the Lord, that you will think nothing else, but that he troubling you shall bear the judgment, whoever he may be.

10    나는 너희가 조금도 다른 마음을 지니지 아니하리라는 것을 주(야훼)를 통하여 너희 안에서 확신하노라. 따라서 너희를 혼란시키는 자는 그가 누구든지 심판을 받으리라.

11  And¹¹⁶¹ I,¹⁴⁷³ brethren,⁸⁰ if¹⁴⁸⁷ I yet²⁰⁸⁹ preach²⁷⁸⁴ circumcision,⁴⁰⁶¹ why⁵¹⁰¹ do I yet²⁰⁸⁹ suffer persecution?¹³⁷⁷ then⁶⁸⁶ is the³⁵⁸⁸ offense⁴⁶²⁵ of the³⁵⁸⁸ cross⁴⁷¹⁶ ceased.²⁶⁷³

11  형제들아 내가 지금까지 할례를 전하면 어찌하여 지금까지 핍박을 받으리요 그리하였으면 십자가의 거치는 것이 그쳤으리니

11  And I, brothers, if I yet proclaim circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the offense of the Cross has ceased.

11  그러나 형제들아, 만일 내가 지금껏 할례를 전한다면 어찌하여 아직도 박해를 받겠느냐? 그랬더라면 십자가의 거침이 그쳤으리라.

12  I would³⁷⁸⁵ they were even²⁵³² cut off⁶⁰⁹ which trouble³⁸⁷ you.⁵²⁰⁹

12  너희를 어지럽게 하는 자들이 스스로 베어 버리기를 원하노라

12  I wish that those causing you to doubt will cut themselves off.

12   너희를 혼란케 하는 자들이 그들 스스로 베어져 버리기를 나는 원하노라.

13  For,¹⁰⁶³ brethren,⁸⁰ ye⁵²¹⁰ have been called²⁵⁶⁴ unto¹⁹⁰⁹ liberty;¹⁶⁵⁷ only³⁴⁴⁰ use not³³⁶¹ liberty¹⁶⁵⁷ for¹⁵¹⁹ an occasion⁸⁷⁴ to the³⁵⁸⁸ flesh,⁴⁵⁶¹ but²³⁵ by¹²²³ love²⁶ serve¹³⁹⁸ one another.²⁴⁰

13  형제들아 너희가 자유를 위하여 부르심을 입었으나 그러나 그 자유로 육체의 기회를 삼지 말고 오직 사랑으로 서로 종노릇하라

13  For, brothers, you were called to liberty. Only do not use the liberty for an opening to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

13 형제들아, 너희가 자유에로 부름을 받았으니 그 자유를 육신을 위한 계기로 삼지 말고 사랑으로 서로 섬기라.

14  For¹⁰⁶³ all³⁹⁵⁶ the law³⁵⁵¹ is fulfilled⁴¹³⁷ in¹⁷²² one¹⁵²⁰ word,³⁰⁵⁶ even in¹⁷²² this;³⁵⁸⁸ Thou shalt love²⁵ thy⁴⁶⁷⁵ neighbor⁴¹³⁹ as⁵⁶¹³ thyself.¹⁴³⁸

14  온 율법은 네 이웃 사랑하기를 네 몸같이 하라 하신 한 말씀에 이루었나니

14  For all the Law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

14  온 율법이 한 마디 말, 즉 이 말로 이루어졌으니 "네 이웃을 네 자신과 같이 사랑하라."는 것이라.

15  But¹¹⁶¹ if¹⁴⁸⁷ ye bite¹¹⁴³ and²⁵³² devour²⁷¹⁹ one another,²⁴⁰ take heed⁹⁹¹ that ye be not³³⁶¹ consumed³⁵⁵ one of another.²⁴⁰

15  만일 서로 물고 먹으면 피차 멸망할까 조심하라

15  But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you are not consumed by one another.

15  그러나 만일 너희가 서로 물어 뜯고 삼킨다면 서로 멸망하지 않도록 주의하라.

16  This I say³⁰⁰⁴ then,¹¹⁶¹ Walk⁴⁰⁴³ in the Spirit,⁴¹⁵¹ and²⁵³² ye shall not³³⁶⁴ fulfill⁵⁰⁵⁵ the lust¹⁹³⁹ of the flesh.⁴⁵⁶¹

16  내가 이르노니 너희는 성령을 좇아 행하라 그리하면 육체의 욕심을 이루지 아니하리라

16  I say, then, Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

16 내가 이것을 말하노니 성령 안에서 행하라. 그리하면 너희는 육신의 정욕을 이루지 아니하리라.

17  For¹⁰⁶³ the³⁵⁸⁸ flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ lusteth¹⁹³⁷ against²⁵⁹⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ Spirit,⁴¹⁵¹ and¹¹⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ against²⁵⁹⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ flesh:⁴⁵⁶¹ and¹¹⁶¹ these⁵⁰²³ are contrary⁴⁸⁰ the one to the other:²⁴⁰ so that²⁴⁴³ ye cannot³³⁶¹ do⁴¹⁶⁰ the things⁵⁰²³ that^{3739, 302} ye would.²³⁰⁹

17  육체의 소욕은 성령을 거스리고 성령의 소욕은 육체를 거스리나니 이 둘이 서로 대적함으로 너희의 원하는 것을 하지 못하게 하려 함이니라

17  For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary to one another; lest whatever you may will, these things you do.

17    육신은 성령을 거슬러 욕심을 부리며 성령은 육신을 거스르나니, 이들은 서로 반목하여서 너희가 하고자 하는 것을 하지 못하게 하느니라.

18  But¹¹⁶¹ if¹⁴⁸⁷ ye be led⁷¹ of the Spirit,⁴¹⁵¹ ye are²⁰⁷⁵ not³⁷⁵⁶ under⁵²⁵⁹ the law.³⁵⁵¹

18  너희가 만일 성령의 인도하시는 바가 되면 율법 아래 있지 아니하리라

18  But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

18  그러나 너희가 성령의 인도하심을 받는다면 너희는 율법 아래 있지 아니하느니라.

19  Now¹¹⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ works²⁰⁴¹ of the³⁵⁸⁸ flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ are²⁰⁷⁶ manifest,⁵³¹⁸ which³⁷⁴⁸ are²⁰⁷⁶ these; adultery,³⁴³⁰ fornication,⁴²⁰² uncleanness,¹⁶⁷ lasciviousness,⁷⁶⁶

19  육체의 일은 현저하니 곧 음행과 더러운 것과 호색과

19  Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness,

19  이제 육신의 일들은 분명히 나타나나니, 곧 간음과 음행과 더러운 것과 음욕과

20  Idolatry,¹⁴⁹⁵ witchcraft,⁵³³¹ hatred,²¹⁸⁹ variance,²⁰⁵⁴ emulations,²²⁰⁵ wrath,²³⁷² strife,²⁰⁵² seditions,¹³⁷⁰ heresies,¹³⁹

20  우상 숭배와 술수와 원수를 맺는 것과 분쟁과 시기와 분냄과 당 짓는 것과 분리함과 이단과

20  idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies,

20  우상 숭배와 마술과 원수 맺음과 다툼과 질투와 분노와 투쟁과 분열과 이단들과

21  Envyings,⁵³⁵⁵ murders,⁵⁴⁰⁸ drunkenness,³¹⁷⁸ revellings,²⁹⁷⁰ and²⁵³² such⁵¹²⁵ like:³⁶⁶⁴ of the which³⁷³⁹ I tell you before,^{4302, 5213} as²⁵³¹ I have also²⁵³² told you in time past,⁴²⁷⁷ that³⁷⁵⁴ they which do⁴²³⁸ such things⁵¹⁰⁸ shall not³⁷⁵⁶ inherit²⁸¹⁶ the kingdom⁹³² of God.²³¹⁶

21  투기와 술 취함과 방탕함과 또 그와 같은 것들이라 전에 너희에게 경계한것 같이 경계하노니 이런 일을 하는 자들은 하나님의G2316 나라를 유업으로 받지 못할 것이요

21  envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

21  시기와 살인과 술취함과 흥청거림과 또 그와 같은 것들이라. 내가 전에 말한 바와 같이 미리 말하노니, 그런 짓들을 하는 자들은 하나님(야훼)의 나라를 상속받지 못할 것이라.

22  But¹¹⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ fruit²⁵⁹⁰ of the³⁵⁸⁸ Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ love,²⁶ joy,⁵⁴⁷⁹ peace,¹⁵¹⁵ longsuffering,³¹¹⁵ gentleness,⁵⁵⁴⁴ goodness,¹⁹ faith,⁴¹⁰²

22  오직 성령의 열매는 사랑과 희락과 화평과 오래 참음과 자비와 양선과 충성과

22  But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,

22  그러나 성령의 열매는 사랑과 기쁨과 화평과 오래 참음과 친절과 선함과 믿음과

23  Meekness,⁴²³⁶ temperance:¹⁴⁶⁶ against²⁵⁹⁶ such⁵¹⁰⁸ there is²⁰⁷⁶ no³⁷⁵⁶ law.³⁵⁵¹

23  온유와 절제니 이같은 것을 금지할 법이 없느니라

23  meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

23  온유와 절제니, 그러한 것을 반대할 법이 없느니라.

24  And¹¹⁶¹ they³⁵⁸⁸ that are Christ's⁵⁵⁴⁷ have crucified⁴⁷¹⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ with⁴⁸⁶² the³⁵⁸⁸ affections³⁸⁰⁴ and²⁵³² lusts.¹⁹³⁹

24  그리스도G5547 예수의G2424 사람들은 육체와 함께 그 정과 욕심을 십자가에 못 박았느니라

24  But those belonging to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

24    그리스도(마쉬악)께 속한 사람들은 그 육신을 욕정과 정욕과 함께 십자가에 처형하였느니라.

25  If¹⁴⁸⁷ we live²¹⁹⁸ in the Spirit,⁴¹⁵¹ let us also²⁵³² walk⁴⁷⁴⁸ in the Spirit.⁴¹⁵¹

25  만일 우리가 성령으로 살면 또한 성령으로 행할지니

25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

25  만일 우리가 성령 안에서 산다면 또한 성령 안에서 행하자.

26  Let us not³³⁶¹ be¹⁰⁹⁶ desirous of vain glory,²⁷⁵⁵ provoking⁴²⁹² one another,²⁴⁰ envying⁵³⁵⁴ one another.²⁴⁰

26  헛된 영광을 구하여 서로 격동하고 서로 투기하지 말지니라

26  Let us not become glory-seeking, provoking one another, envying one another.

26  서로 격분시키고 서로 시기함으로써 헛된 영광을 구하지 말자.
