1  Then¹⁸⁹⁹ fourteen¹¹⁸⁰ years²⁰⁹⁴ after¹²²³ I went up³⁰⁵ again³⁸²⁵ to¹⁵¹⁹ Jerusalem²⁴¹⁴ with³³²⁶ Barnabas,⁹²¹ and took Titus with^{4838, 5103} me also.²⁵³²

1  십 사년 후에 내가 바나바와 함께 디도를 데리고 다시 예루살렘에 올라갔노니

1  Then through fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.

1  그리고 나서 십사 년 후에 내가 바나바와 함께 다시 예루살렘에 올라갔는데 디도도 데리고 갔느니라.

2  And¹¹⁶¹ I went up³⁰⁵ by²⁵⁹⁶ revelation,⁶⁰² and²⁵³² communicated³⁹⁴ unto them⁸⁴⁶ that gospel²⁰⁹⁸ which³⁷³⁹ I preach²⁷⁸⁴ among¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ Gentiles,¹⁴⁸⁴ but¹¹⁶¹ privately^{2596, 2398} to them which were of reputation,¹³⁸⁰ lest by any means³³⁸¹ I should run,⁵¹⁴³ or²²²⁸ had run,⁵¹⁴³ in¹⁵¹⁹ vain.²⁷⁵⁶

2  계시를 인하여 올라가 내가 이방 가운데서 전파하는 복음을 저희에게 제출하되 유명한 자들에게 사사로이 한 것은 내가 달음질하는 것이나 달음질 한 것이 헛되지 않게 하려 함이라

2  And I went up by revelation. And I put before them the gospel which I proclaim in the nations, but privately to those seeming to be pillars, lest I run, or I ran, into vanity.

2  내가 계시를 따라 올라가서 이방인들 가운데서 전파한 복음을 그들 앞에 제시하였으되, 유명한 사람들에게 따로 전한 것은 어떻게 하든지 내가 달려가야 할 일과 달려갔던 일들이 헛되지 않게 하려 함이라.

3  But²³⁵ neither³⁷⁶¹ Titus,⁵¹⁰³ who³⁵⁸⁸ was with⁴⁸⁶² me,¹⁶⁹⁸ being⁵⁶⁰⁷ a Greek,¹⁶⁷² was compelled³¹⁵ to be circumcised:⁴⁰⁵⁹

3  그러나 나와 함께 있는 헬라인 디도라도 억지로 할례를 받게 아니하였으니

3  (But not even Titus, the one with me, a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.)

4  And¹¹⁶¹ that because¹²²³ of false brethren⁵⁵⁶⁹ unawares brought in,³⁹²⁰ who³⁷⁴⁸ came in privily³⁹²² to spy out²⁶⁸⁴ our²²⁵⁷ liberty¹⁶⁵⁷ which³⁷³⁹ we have²¹⁹² in¹⁷²² Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ Jesus,²⁴²⁴ that²⁴⁴³ they might bring us into bondage:^{2615, 2248}

4  이는 가만히 들어온 거짓 형제 까닭이라 저희가 가만히 들어온것은 그리스도G5547 예수G2424 안에서 우리의 가진 자유를 엿보고 우리를 종으로 삼고자 함이로되

4  But because of those false brothers stealing in, who stole in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus; they desiring to enslave us;

4  이는 거짓 형제들이 몰래 들어온 까닭이라. 그들은 우리가 그리스도(마쉬악H4899) 예수(야슈아) 안에서 가진 우리의 자유를 엿보려고 비밀리에 들어와 우리를 노예로 삼고자 함이더라.

5  To whom³⁷³⁹ we gave place¹⁵⁰² by subjection,⁵²⁹² no, not³⁷⁶¹ for⁴³¹⁴ an hour;⁵⁶¹⁰ that²⁴⁴³ the³⁵⁸⁸ truth²²⁵ of the³⁵⁸⁸ gospel²⁰⁹⁸ might continue¹²⁶⁵ with⁴³¹⁴ you.⁵²⁰⁹

5  우리가 일시라도 복종치 아니하였으니 이는 복음의 진리로 너희 가운데 항상 있게 하려 함이라

5  to whom not even for an hour did we yield in subjection, that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

5  우리가 단 한 시간도 그들에게 복종하지 아니하였던 것은 복음의 진리가 너희와 함께 지속되게 하려는 것이라.

6  But¹¹⁶¹ of⁵⁷⁵ these³⁵⁸⁸ who seemed¹³⁸⁰ to be¹⁵¹¹ somewhat,⁵¹⁰⁰ (whatsoever^{3697, 4218} they were,²²⁵⁸ it maketh no matter^{1308, 3762} to me:³⁴²⁷ God²³¹⁶ accepteth²⁹⁸³ no³⁷⁵⁶ man's⁴⁴⁴ person:)⁴³⁸³ for¹⁰⁶³ they who seemed¹³⁸⁰ to be somewhat in conference added⁴³²³ nothing³⁷⁶² to me:¹⁶⁹⁸

6  유명하다는 이들 중에 (본래 어떤이들이든지 내게 상관이 없으며 하나님은G2316 사람의 외모를 취하지 아니하시나니) 저 유명한 이들은 내게 더하여 준 것이 없고

6  But from those who seemed to be something (what kind they were then does not matter to me; God does not accept the face of man), for those seeming important conferred nothing to me.

6  무언가 되는 것같이 보이는 그 사람들 가운데 (그들이 전에 어떤 사람이었든지 내게는 아무 상관도 없고, 하나님(야훼)께서는 사람을 외모로 받아들이지 아니하시며,) 무언가 되는 것같이 보이는 그 사람들은 나에게 아무것도 조언으로 더해 준 것이 없느니라.

7  But²³⁵ contrariwise,⁵¹²¹ when they saw¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ gospel²⁰⁹⁸ of the³⁵⁸⁸ uncircumcision²⁰³ was committed⁴¹⁰⁰ unto me, as²⁵³¹ the gospel of the³⁵⁸⁸ circumcision⁴⁰⁶¹ was unto Peter;⁴⁰⁷⁴

7  도리어 내가 무할례자에게 복음 전함을 맡기를 베드로가 할례자에게 맡음과 같이 한 것을 보고

7  But on the contrary, seeing that I have been entrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision, as Peter to the circumcision;

7  오히려 그들은 베드로가 할례자들에게 복음 전함을 맡음과 같이, 내가 무할례자들에게 복음 전함을 맡은 것을 알았을 때,

8  (For¹⁰⁶³ he that wrought effectually¹⁷⁵⁴ in Peter⁴⁰⁷⁴ to¹⁵¹⁹ the apostleship⁶⁵¹ of the³⁵⁸⁸ circumcision,⁴⁰⁶¹ the same was mighty¹⁷⁵⁴ in⁽²⁵³²⁾ me¹⁶⁹⁸ toward¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Gentiles:)¹⁴⁸⁴

8  베드로에게 역사하사 그를 할례자의 사도로 삼으신 이가 또한 내게 역사하사 나를 이방인에게 사도로 삼으셨느니라

8  for He working in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision also worked in me to the nations.

8    (베드로에게 효과적으로 역사하셔서 할례자들의 사도 직분을 주신 그분께서, 나에게도 강력하게 역사하셔서 이방인들을 위한 직분을 주셨느니라.)

9  And²⁵³² when James,^{2385 (2532)} Cephas,²⁷⁸⁶ and²⁵³² John,²⁴⁹¹ who seemed¹³⁸⁰ to be¹⁵¹¹ pillars,⁴⁷⁶⁹ perceived¹⁰⁹⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ that was given¹³²⁵ unto me,³⁴²⁷ they gave¹³²⁵ to me¹⁶⁹⁸ and²⁵³² Barnabas⁹²¹ the right hands¹¹⁸⁸ of fellowship;²⁸⁴² that²⁴⁴³ we²²⁴⁹ should go unto¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ heathen,¹⁴⁸⁴ and¹¹⁶¹ they⁸⁴⁶ unto¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ circumcision.⁴⁰⁶¹

9  "또 내게 주신 은혜를 알므로 기둥같이 여기는 야고보와 게바와 요한도 나와 바나바에게 교제의 악수를 하였으니 이는 우리는 이방인에게로, 저희는 할례자에게로 가게 하려 함이라"

9  and knowing the grace given to me, James, and Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, gave right hands of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we go to the nations, but they to the circumcision.

9  기둥같이 여기는 야고보와 게바와 요한도 내게 주신 은혜를 알고서 나와 바나바에게 친교의 악수를 하였으니, 이는 우리가 이방인들에게로 가고 그들은 할례자들에게로 감이라.

10  Only³⁴⁴⁰ they would that²⁴⁴³ we should remember³⁴²¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ poor;⁴⁴³⁴ the same^{846, 5124} which³⁷³⁹ I also²⁵³² was forward⁴⁷⁰⁴ to do.⁴¹⁶⁰

10  다만 우리에게 가난한 자들 생각하는 것을 부탁하였으니 이것을 나도 본래 힘써 행하노라

10  Only they asked that we remember the poor, which very thing I was eager to do.

10  다만 그들이 바라는 것은 우리가 가난한 사람들을 기억해야 된다는 것이니 이것은 또한 내가 부지런히 행한 바라.

11  But¹¹⁶¹ when³⁷⁵³ Peter⁴⁰⁷⁴ was come²⁰⁶⁴ to¹⁵¹⁹ Antioch,⁴⁹⁰ I withstood⁴³⁶ him⁸⁴⁶ to²⁵⁹⁶ the face,⁴³⁸³ because³⁷⁵⁴ he was²²⁵⁸ to be blamed.²⁶⁰⁷

11  게바가 안디옥에 이르렀을 때에 책망할 일이 있기로 내가 저를 면책하였노라

11  But when Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was to be blamed.

11 그러나 베드로가 안티옥에 왔을 때 그에게 책망할 것이 있기에 내가 그를 면박하였으니

12  For¹⁰⁶³ before that certain⁵¹⁰⁰ came²⁰⁶⁴ from⁵⁷⁵ James,²³⁸⁵ he did eat⁴⁹⁰⁶ with³³²⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ Gentiles:¹⁴⁸⁴ but¹¹⁶¹ when³⁷⁵³ they were come,²⁰⁶⁴ he withdrew⁵²⁸⁸ and²⁵³² separated⁸⁷³ himself,¹⁴³⁸ fearing⁵³⁹⁹ them³⁵⁸⁸ which were of¹⁵³⁷ the circumcision.⁴⁰⁶¹

12  야고보에게서 온 어떤 이들이 이르기 전에 게바가 이방인과 함께 먹다가 저희가 오매 그가 할례자들을 두려워하여 떠나 물러가매

12  For before some came from James, he ate with the nations. But when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those of the circumcision.

12   이는 몇몇 사람이 야고보에게서 오기 전에 그가 이방인들과 함께 먹다가 그들이 오니, 할례자들에게 속한 자들을 두려워하여 뒤로 물러나 혼자 떨어져 있었기 때문이라.

13  And²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ other³⁰⁶² Jews²⁴⁵³ dissembled likewise with^{4942, 2532} him;⁸⁴⁶ insomuch that⁵⁶²⁰ Barnabas⁹²¹ also²⁵³² was carried away with⁴⁸⁷⁹ their⁸⁴⁶ dissimulation.⁵²⁷²

13  남은 유대인들도 저와 같이 외식하므로 바나바도 저희의 외식에 유혹되었느니라

13  And the rest of the Jews also dissembled with him, so as even Barnabas was led away with their dissembling.

13  다른 유대인들도 마찬가지로 그와 함께 위선을 행하니 심지어는 바나바까지도 그들의 위선에 끌려가더라.

14  But²³⁵ when³⁷⁵³ I saw¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ they walked not uprightly^{3716, 3756} according⁴³¹⁴ to the³⁵⁸⁸ truth²²⁵ of the³⁵⁸⁸ gospel,²⁰⁹⁸ I said²⁰³⁶ unto Peter⁴⁰⁷⁴ before¹⁷¹⁵ them all,³⁹⁵⁶ If¹⁴⁸⁷ thou,⁴⁷⁷¹ being⁵²²⁵ a Jew,²⁴⁵³ livest²¹⁹⁸ after the manner of Gentiles,¹⁴⁸³ and²⁵³² not³⁷⁵⁶ as do the Jews,²⁴⁵² why⁵¹⁰¹ compellest³¹⁵ thou the³⁵⁸⁸ Gentiles¹⁴⁸⁴ to live as do the Jews?²⁴⁵⁰

14  그러므로 나는 저희가 복음의 진리를 따라 바로 행하지 아니함을보고 모든 자 앞에서 게바에게 이르되 네가 유대인으로서 이방을 좇고 유대인답게 살지 아니하면서 어찌하여 억지로 이방인을 유대인답게 살게 하려느냐 하였노라

14  But when I saw that they did not walk uprightly with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before all, If you, being a Jew, live as a Gentile, and not as the Jews, why do you compel the nations to judaize?

14    마침 나는 그들이 복음의 진리를 따라 올바르게 행치 아니하는 것을 보고 모든 사람 앞에서 베드로에게 말하기를 "당신은 유대인으로서 유대인처럼 살지 아니하고 이방인들의 방식을 따라 살면서, 어떻게 이방인들을 유대인처럼 살도록 강요하느뇨?" 하였노라.

15  We²²⁴⁹ who are Jews²⁴⁵³ by nature,⁵⁴⁴⁹ and²⁵³² not³⁷⁵⁶ sinners²⁶⁸ of¹⁵³⁷ the Gentiles,¹⁴⁸⁴

15  우리는 본래 유대인이요 이방 죄인이 아니로되

15  We Jews by nature, and not sinners of the nations,

15   우리는 본래 유대인이요, 이방의 죄인들이 아니로되

16  Knowing¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ a man⁴⁴⁴ is not³⁷⁵⁶ justified¹³⁴⁴ by¹⁵³⁷ the works²⁰⁴¹ of the law,³⁵⁵¹ but³³⁶² by¹²²³ the faith⁴¹⁰² of Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ even²⁵³² we²²⁴⁹ have believed⁴¹⁰⁰ in¹⁵¹⁹ Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ that²⁴⁴³ we might be justified¹³⁴⁴ by¹⁵³⁷ the faith⁴¹⁰² of Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ and²⁵³² not³⁷⁵⁶ by¹⁵³⁷ the works²⁰⁴¹ of the law:³⁵⁵¹ for¹³⁶⁰ by¹⁵³⁷ the works²⁰⁴¹ of the law³⁵⁵¹ shall no³⁷⁵⁶ flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ be justified.¹³⁴⁴

16  사람이 의롭게 되는 것은 율법의 행위에서 난 것이 아니요 오직 예수G2424 그리스도를G5547 믿음으로 말미암는줄 아는고로 우리도 그리스도G5547 예수를G2424 믿나니 이는 우리가 율법의 행위에서 아니고 그리스도를G5547 믿음으로서 의롭다 함을 얻으려 함이라 율법의 행위로서는 의롭다 함을 얻을 육체가 없느니라

16  knowing that a man is not justified by works of the Law, but through faith in Jesus Christ; even we believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith in Christ, and not by works of the Law. For all flesh will not be justified by works of law.

16  사람이 율법의 행위로 의롭게 되는 것이 아니요, 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)를 믿음으로 인하여 되는 줄 알고 우리도 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(마쉬악)를 믿었나니, 이는 우리가 율법의 행위로써가 아니라 그리스도(마쉬악)를 믿음으로 인하여 의로워지고자 함이라. 이는 율법의 행위로는 아무 육체도 의롭게 될 수 없음이라.

17  But¹¹⁶¹ if,¹⁴⁸⁷ while we seek²²¹² to be justified¹³⁴⁴ by¹⁷²² Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ we⁸⁴⁶ ourselves also²⁵³² are found²¹⁴⁷ sinners,²⁶⁸ is therefore⁶⁸⁷ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ the minister¹²⁴⁹ of sin?²⁶⁶ God forbid.^{1096, 3361}

17  만일 우리가 그리스도G5547 안에서 의롭게 되려 하다가 죄인으로 나타나면 그리스도께서G5547 죄를 짓게 하는 자냐 결코 그럴 수 없느니라

17  But if, while we seek to be justified in Christ, we also were found to be sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Let it not be said!

17  만일 그리스도(마쉬악)로 인하여 의롭게 되기를 구하다가 우리 자신이 또한 죄인들로 드러난다면 그때는 그리스도가(마쉬악께서) 죄의 일꾼이시냐? 결코 그럴 수 없느니라.

18  For¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ I build³⁶¹⁸ again³⁸²⁵ the things⁵⁰²³ which³⁷³⁹ I destroyed,²⁶⁴⁷ I make⁴⁹²¹ myself¹⁶⁸³ a transgressor.³⁸⁴⁸

18  만일 내가 헐었던 것을 다시 세우면 내가 나를 범법한 자로 만드는 것이라

18  For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I confirm myself as a transgressor.

18  이는 만일 내가 헐었던 것을 다시 세우면 내가 나 자신을 범법자로 만들기 때문이라.

19  For¹⁰⁶³ I¹⁴⁷³ through¹²²³ the law³⁵⁵¹ am dead⁵⁹⁹ to the law,³⁵⁵¹ that²⁴⁴³ I might live²¹⁹⁸ unto God.²³¹⁶

19  내가 율법으로 말미암아 율법을 향하여 죽었나니 이는 하나님을G2316 향하여 살려 함이니라

19  For through the Law I died to the law, that I might live to God.

19  내가 율법으로 말미암아 율법에게 죽은 것은 하나님(야훼)께는 살고자 함이라.

20  I am crucified with⁴⁹⁵⁷ Christ:⁵⁵⁴⁷ nevertheless¹¹⁶¹ I live;²¹⁹⁸ yet not³⁷⁶⁵ I,¹⁴⁷³ but¹¹⁶¹ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ liveth²¹⁹⁸ in¹⁷²² me:¹⁶⁹⁸ and¹¹⁶¹ the life which³⁷³⁹ I now³⁵⁶⁸ live²¹⁹⁸ in¹⁷²² the flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ I live²¹⁹⁸ by¹⁷²² the faith⁴¹⁰² of⁽³⁵⁸⁸⁾ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God,²³¹⁶ who loved²⁵ me,³¹⁶⁵ and²⁵³² gave³⁸⁶⁰ himself¹⁴³⁸ for⁵²²⁸ me.¹⁷⁰⁰

20  내가 그리스도G5547 와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니 그런즉 이제는 내가 산 것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서G5547 사신 것이라 이제 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하사 나를 위하여 자기 몸을 버리신 하나님의G2316 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사는 것이라

20  I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.

20  내가 그리스도와(마쉬악과) 함께 십자가에 못 박혔으나 그럼에도 나는 살아 있노라. 그러나 내가 사는 것이 아니요 그리스도(마쉬악)께서 내 안에 사시는 것이라. 내가 이제 육신 안에서 사는 삶은 나를 사랑하시어 나를 위해 자신을 주신 하나님(엘로힘)의 아들을 믿는 믿음으로 사는 것이라.

21  I do not³⁷⁵⁶ frustrate¹¹⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ of God:²³¹⁶ for¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ righteousness¹³⁴³ come by¹²²³ the law,³⁵⁵¹ then⁶⁸⁶ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ is dead⁵⁹⁹ in vain.¹⁴³²

21  내가 하나님의G2316 은혜를 폐하지 아니하노니 만일 의롭게 되는 것이 율법으로 말미암으면 그리스도께서G5547 헛되이 죽으셨느니라

21  I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness is through law, then Christ died without cause.

21  나는 하나님(엘로힘)의 은혜를 저버릴 수 없나니, 만일 의가 율법으로 인하여 온 것이라면 그리스도(마쉬악)께서는 헛되이 죽으신 것이라.
